It does seem like they interviews are very rushed and the last video you posted, when they were asked if they saw SG that night, they both answered the exact same way. Sounded almost rehearsed. I have to go back and watch it again, I watched it 3 times already but when they were asked that question almost immediately doesn't it seem like the doc shook his head yes and then no? Maybe its just me!

p.s.- nm rewatched video about 10 more times.. guess it was just my imagination playing tricks on me. He didn't shake his head yes then no. It was more of a wind up to be ready to do an emphatic NO than anything else.
 
I find the way she escorts him down the steps interesting...note the guiding left hand.

If anyone has it, can you post the link to her full interview. It looked like she was wearing the same outfit. I can't locate it anywhere and believe me I have been searching high and low.

ETA: And along the same lines as Shadow's question about the driver adding info to an answer...
In this brief clip the question answered by the female is at first offered in the form of a rhetorical question..."How could we..." I will say that in those brief few moments of this clip the two of them use MANY EXPRESSIVE GESTURES.

One thing she did say that I thought was interesting is that she says the gated part of Oak Beach is where a bunch of important Long Island people live, several of them connected to the DA's office, LE, county government executives, hospital managers, etc. Her perception is that if the killer lives there, it will never come out to the public. They take care of their own.

The fact that the police commissioner is being "retired"
The fact that LE ignored SG's family's pleas for investigation for months,
The fact that CPH has been caught lying on camera about what he knows about SG's disappearance and he is not a suspect should tell you that there is something shady going on.
People don't just disappear out into thin air..

If I was being scrutinized by the police and media I would make sure my story matches my wife's. I would also be sick of reporters after my first encounter.

I sure hope we get some new info to look into. This is just so bizarre. Especially the SG vanishing. When I look at the map and see her last path before she disappeared it really has me wondering. I doubt police would be checking trunks of vehicles leaving. Then again the driver supposedly had an suv. The direction she was heading was away from ocean parkway from what I gather. The neighborhood dead-ends that way too. On top of that sunrise happens at about 5:50 am that time of year. A 4:51 phone call 23 minutes long places her disappearance at 5:15ish. Thats a half hour to capture her and hide her w/ the police coming minutes later. The part about a doctor calling is a ruse I believe. Which makes me suspect neighbors that live with in seeing distance of PH.

It could be as simple as the Girl that went missing in the suitcase. Where it's right in front of everyone's faces. Is it also possible Its a neighbor further down towards the dead end is responsible and cocky enought to dump victims AFTER the SG incident?

As far as the PH and drinking. Addiction is very common amongst chronic pain sufferers. I suspect that avenue has more to do with an injury than anything else.

Yes, but they aren't being forced to have these interviews. They could just as easily run back into their house and ignore the reporters. They don't though. They linger around, answer their questions but when they're asked something they don't want to talk about they get very short with the reporters and start to make their way inside. They're interactions with the reporters are very interesting. Maybe they rehearsed what they were going to say with an attorney just to be on the safe side. Who knows. I'm just throwing out there what I saw on the video. Just watching their interactions with the reports makes my hinky meter go up. Just my :twocents: tho!
 
I am really starting to believe that the SK is someone who live in Oak Beach and is in LE, possibly a detective or in the local PD. My reasoning for this is as follows:

I mentioned this about a month ago but at the time it didn't seem so critical. Now it seems more pertinent. One night (~1 or 2AM) about 2 years ago this couple was driving along the Ocean Parkway and it was pouring rain out. They saw a girl running and screaming on the Ocean Parkway by Oak Beach. They stopped to help her but another car also stopped to help her. They saw that the girl was being helped by the other person so they kept on going.

Initially they did not report this incident to the police because they didn't think it was a big deal. When the SK story broke, they didn't report it to the police at first but they did report it recently.

I am going to try and find out more info about this incident. It was a friend of my neighbor who saw this. I will ask my neighbor for a complete run-down of the story again. I did ask him again if this happened last year and he said No it happened about 2 years ago.

There were no stories about this incident in the news just like when SG vanished.

But I really think that someone in LE that lives in Oak Beach and surfs at Gilgo Beach is responsible. It's just my gut feeling.

PS - I have a friend in Oak Beach that won't give me any info. I asked her if there were any rumors flying around and she said no, it's all quiet now and she hasn't heard anything. I am not sure I believe that. I think the people in Oak Beach know something. They just want to keep everything quiet and hope that everything goes back to normal. JMHO
 
Does anyone have a link to a msm article that gives the info for MBB having spoken to friends from NYPA Bus Terminal the night she went missing? I've looked everywhere, and can't find it.

Just a note of interest. During the Scott Peterson case I emailed Dr Kobilinsky a question and he sent an answer back to me. I asked him if I could post it on my forum and he said that was fine, so I did.

I think if we have a pertinent question or two he would be more than happy to give us his opinion to post here. I wouldn't want to inundate him with questions, but for just a few I would happily send him a mail on behalf of our group.

Not sure about how accurate the reporter is for this article, but here you go....

"Brainard-Barnes rang friends in distress that night from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan, saying she had been robbed of the money she earned that day.
"She just wanted to come home," said the friend. "She said she was coming that night and would check in." She was never heard from again."

I bet that FBI helicopter found some human remains along the Wantagh Parkway using that high tech camera. I bet that camera can pickup human remains and they may have found some along there. I wouldn't be surprised if they expanded the search to include the Robert Moses Causeway as well.

Authorities plan to expand their search on Monday beyond the South Shore barrier island where police over the past four or so months have found 10 sets of human remains.

Starting at 9 a.m., New York State Police will search the Wantagh State Parkway from Merrick Road to Ocean Parkway, the agency said Friday in a news release.

The portion of the parkway that's south of Merrick Road -- including the bike and pedestrian path -- will be closed "for an indeterminate amount of time," police said.


Police did not explain why the search is expanding.

The barrier island searches have been redone and expanded repeatedly since December, when a police dog and his handler at Gilgo Beach in Suffolk County stumbled on the first of four burlap-wrapped remains of what turned out to be slain women who worked as prostitutes. On March 29, cops found a fifth set of remains east of Gilgo, and a week later, found three more nearby. On April 11, police in Nassau County found what sources say are a set of extremities and a woman's skull. Last week, searchers found two human teeth nearby that they suspect are from the skull.

So far, only the four initially discovered remains have been identified. Forensic experts are working to identify the other six, police said.

The grisly discoveries have raised the specter of multiple serial killers using the barrier island as a dumping ground. Police have said they don't have a suspect or suspects.

Shannan Gilbert, a Jersey City prostitute whose disappearance May 1, 2010, from a john's home in Oak Beach prompted the December search, remains missing.
 
Merrick road...couldn't figure out where I had heard of that location before. Then I remembered. UGers talk about Merrick Rd. ALOT!

ETA: Interesting to note that the new search area falls right within our "loop".

Unlike Ocean Pkwy. RM Cswy is under heavy construction with houses backing up to the woods. Wantagh is tree lined until you cross the bridge then it becomes marshes
