2017.05.26 Sievers' Home on Jarvis Road Burglarized

A thought on the named stolen items: there are people who love to "collect" such items that belonged to murder victims and/or murderers. Unsavory, I know, but there are many creeps with creepy collections.

My first thought was eBay sales, but that would be admitting to breaking, entering and robbery. It still may happen many years down the road.

I would expect that the Sievers home would be hermetically sealed, after such a horrific and heinous crime. Nobody, from either side, should be allowed in that structure without police escort. And should be filmed while there. Nobody should be visiting, checking, removing, or cleaning anything! This is a CAPITAL CRIME SCENE!!!

I hope LE put surveillance cameras in every room, so we can see who the "thieves" really are. Stolen sex toys? Are you kidding me? Whose DNA do they not want us to find???

You are right....did LE goof up and not secure the scene correctly? And why was it turned back to the family if all this evidence was still there? This is like felon Anthony's case....mess up, lies, confusion etc.

And I have a question....I would have to go back in media articles, but it was recent, WHY is there are reference to MS having TWO defense teams? I thought DP lawyers unite...or is there a problem brewing? I never heard in any other trial about the defendent having TWO teams. Thanks.

Seriously, unless every single item in that home has been inventoried, how would ANYONE know that 'sex toys' had been taken?

The Mendez brothers who killed their parents In 90210 had more than one team. How can the lawyers of Mark unite if the current ones can not pay filing fees. They are no experts in the death penalty arena. I even question if they are experts in their current field of law that they practice.

I thought that LE secures a crime scene until all evidence collection is finished. I don't think they can control private property indefinitely. Even if they could it would cost a fortune to guard a house for years in order to prevent a break in like this.

I doubt that any evidence was left behind that need's to be "hermetically sealed" until trial. That's why they collect evidence. They put it into secure storage where the chain of custody is maintained. JMO

My guess is that someone saw the items were there before the break in, remembered seeing them and afterwards they were gone. JMO

Since the info on what was stolen is coming from MS TWO teams, not LE, I am not going to believe any of this.....I gave links in prior posts which showed MS TWO teams were talking to media about the break ins and thefts.

I don't see how things being stolen from the house help MS defense. Maybe I'm missing something.

Perhaps to create a doubt in a future jury's mind that a home invasion could have occurred that fateful night.

A burglary of a vacant house isn't remotely the same as a home invasion. The murder happened two years ago. Hard to tie this burglary to the murder IMO.

I think the defense will try to deflect as much as they can on CW by focusing on his deal with the State as a motive to lie and say that MS is the one who orchestrated the murder when he was the one who was really the mastermind.

They will also try to confuse the jury by saying that MS has an alibi because he wasn't even in the same state when Teresa was murdered. How can he be guilty?

All they need is at least one juror to fall for that and they "win" with a hung jury. I remember the Casey Anthony jurors who fell for a lame defense. While it could happen here I sure hope it doesn't.

I doubt the defense is behind or using this burglary to help their defendant.

My point was, I think the defense will try showing that a home invasion/breakin could have happened that night since there have Been break ins at the home now. Perhaps they are trying to show it is not a safe area. It is called strategy. JMO. We are allowed to have different opinions

I suspect they'll go somewhere along the confusion route. The State's case would need to be pretty weak for anything in that scope to work. I don't believe it is.

What motive could Wright have to 'mastermind' Teresa's death - his bff was unhappy in his marriage?

It all comes down to money. Wright had none.

Wright brings JRR in. JRR's payment will be $10,000. Who pays him? Rogers knows where the money's coming from, he confides in his girlfriend after the fact. (We went into other realms in the past about CW potentially taking Rogers out, but moot as it didn't happen). Rogers' girlfriend TaySho's evidence comes into play here. Bare in mind MS & JRR are being tried together, a plus for this phase of the trial.

I'd be surprised if many out there are unaware of one of the oldest tricks in the book - wasn't there, couldn't have been me. I doubt even one juror would buy into that. State will focus on what it is, CWW (JRR) being a hired hit-man for his 'bro'.

There's a ton of evidence in this case we're aware of to date. Who knows what's still to come out.

I also doubt the defence is behind the burglaries. It could be something as simple as FL says - ghoul snatchers. It could also, though, be their client who's yanking someone's chain in the hope it could be used to the end Oregonmama suggests. This is a guy who thinks he's smarter than the average bear but in reality's out of his depth in a puddle. He won't walk away from this.

After what you wrote ScotAngI can see MS making deals with other prisioners to either break in the house or have their family or friends break in the house. The defense teams may not know at all or the may have an idea and keep quiet. I think we may find out at trial this answer since LE is very quiet on this.

I should clarify. I do not think Mark's lawyers are involved in the break ins. I do think Mark is. Mark has probably been a stubborn client and he will,do whatever it takes to save himself. Or the items could have been taken by complete strangers to sell or just to collect items from a high profile murder but the timing when these incidents first happened were very close to when Mark lost the trustee case. Whenever he looses, something else happens. This is the man who manipulates his own mother. JMO

I thought it was pretty clear what you meant, OM. I would put nothing past him either.

Enjoyed a beautiful evening last night at a vineyard so I had to clarify for myself :) Had too much wine, but Oregon wine is the best!

The only people that would know I would think are people who are intimately familiar with the said toys OR they were kept in an obvious package, box or something that was left behind.
