The man was wearing a pair of American Eagle brand jeans with a 30 inch waist, cinched with a black, braided leather belt.
Inside the pocket was a key to a Kryptonite bicycle lock.
The man was also wearing boxer shorts with an image of a Volkswagen bug with a surfboard on its rooftop.
If you have any information please call the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit at 617-727-8817.

So judging from the shape of the clothing found on him, he probably had not been dead for long? If anyone would chime in about how ocean water affects clothing, please so -- I'm eager to know!!

Jean Michaud (https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/23127/0/) left his home in Boston on 12/24/13 -- he actually may be too heavy (230) for the pant size...

James Gollohan (https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/22530/1/) said he was "disappearing into the wilderness" -- has mental health issues... last seen in Cambridge 10/2013... 5'7" and on the skinnier side (125-145) -- http://projectjason.org/forums/topic/3787-missing-man-james-gollahon-ma-10212013/

These are the only 20-40 y/o men missing from MA in the past 8 months. The only probable MA match is James (Jean, like I said, prob too heavy)... his circumstances fit.

ETA: I sent a copy of the news story to the case manager listed for James; she forwarded it to the proper authorities to further investigate.

My guess is he hasn't been reported missing yet. I wish we had an estimat of how long he was in the water. This is my general neck of the woods; I'll poke around a little.

It's been about 5 hours since I came across James and I have to stay, having had all that time to think about it, I'm not sure I like him as a match anymore.

Submit it! I didn't go through the number listed on the Revere Beach article -- I went through James' case manager. So, if you want to submit and can't find a way (or don't want to call) let me know and I'll pass it to James' case manager (if you think that's a good idea).

ETA: The comments in the story say "Kyle is 6'3 about 200 pounds.."

The sound boxer shorts with a VW and surfboard seem key to solving since rather unusual, and if enough media attention can be made about them, someone recognize this...

Kryptonite makes several different locks (and some are upwards of $4k!!!!) -- locks for scooters, motorcycles, bicycles, etc etc (https://www.kryptonitelock.com/Pages/Product.aspx)

I wonder how absolutely sure they are it belonged to a bicycle and not some other lock product by Kryptonite..

I dunno.... Seems strange the clothes are in such good condition but they can't identify his ethnicity.

Interesting about the lock, and reading about the company
"In the early 1970s, Michael Zane was a free-spirited, bearded kid with a VW van and a big idea for a new kind of lock."
https://www.kryptonitelock.com/Pages/History.aspx

Is there a connection here? Since the boxer underwear had a VW on it?

My DH has one of their locks. When he bought a decent bike to ride to work, these were pretty popular with the other riders he talked to. It was about $60.

Ugh. That comment, if correct, makes Kyle less likely.

I must've misread the price for the "mini New York fugghedaboudit" I swear I saw $4,500 I was like :O

I saw that too, so you didn't misread it... I think the site got mixed up in doing currency conversion, or something like that...

I am very close to this area, and it's shocking how very little I've heard about this. I found out about it on Facebook a couple of days ago when it was posted by a popular radio DJ in town.

The general consensus seems to be that it is probably a man that was not reported missing by family or friends.

Someone mentioned this man, missing from VT. Jonathan Schaff.

http://www.wcax.com/story/24507987/search-expanded-for

What do you guys think? Age fits, as does body type, ish.

While the Vermont is close, it's not THAT close, so it's a little questionable, considering the facts given about his disappearance (last seen leaving a bar after an altercation)

Just another name to throw in the mix!
