Police say the remains are those of an adult black woman. She was wearing a silver necklace and had a yellow “Livestrong” wrist band on her left wrist.
She also has the word “Forever” tattooed in cursive, along with three initials in stylized script on her right wrist. The initials could not be easily discerned.
The woman was wearing a black bathing suit and a black terry cloth cover over the suit.

Quincy and Winthrop are 15 miles apart so probably not the same person.

Depends on the tides, I guess, but I don't think a body could get from Winthrop to Quincy in a day. Also, the Harbor Islands are kind of in the middle of this area—seems more likely someone would wash up there.

Yeah, but it is an odd coincidence. I hope they're checking it out. The article does say "Quincy and State Police say it’s possible she entered the water somewhere else." http://boston.cbslocal.com/2014/06/...dentifying-womans-body-found-on-quincy-shore/

Agreed. I find it interesting that they called off the search for the "missing" person and just think someone left her belongings on the beach. I hope this possible connection is the first thing they checked!
