Investigators said a suspect has been identified and an arrest warrant has been issued, but they did not release the suspect's name or that person's relationship to the child.

They are referring to the child as a "missing" three year old. I don't know if that means missing to just people in their life, or missing, as in a report was issued.

Apparently, it's a little boy.

It sounds like a Florida situation... where someone called because they couldn't contact the child. So LE went to check on the child.
The difference being that they actually FOUND this child dead in the home.

I'll never understand this. I'll never understand how these poor kids who are in real danger slip through the cracks, yet I've seen people investigated multiple times because of one maliciously made false story. How is it that the victims of false stories get put through the ringer, but the kids who are being abused over and over again are left to fend for themselves.

Makes me so sad and so mad all at the same time.

Look at him, what a beautiful angel he is....pity his mother made him a angel of heaven, instead of allowing him to stay here. He is safe from her now, and in a beautiful place, with lots of other angels like him. Is it just me, or do we seem to have a record number of babies/toddlers vanishing these days?
 
STERLING, Colo. -- A mother accused of first-degree murder in the slaying of her 3-year-old son said her son was dead, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by 7NEWS.

Juanita Kinzie was contacted by Denver police on Sunday while they were investigating a disturbance call, the affidavit stated. Paramedics were also called and said Kinzie appeared to be high on methamphetamine when they examined her.

Months before authorities found the remains of 3-year-old Caleb Pacheco on Sunday, the boy's mother had told an ex-boyfriend that her son's body was underneath a Sterling mobile home the two had once shared.

Joshua Briggs, the ex-boyfriend of the boy's mother, Juanita Kinzie, met with Kinzie at a Castle Rock hotel near the end of summer in 2011. During the conversation, Kinzie told Briggs that she had made a mistake and that Caleb was gone, according to an arrest affidavit.

It's bad enough a mother could do this to her child. But it defies logic that someone else could know about it, and not report it. What is the matter with people?

It is so gut wrenching. Just like little Jhessye, this boy had a loving auntie who loved and cared for him. And the state gives him back to his cruel egg donor instead, who kills him. :mad::furious::rose:

Kinzie was sentenced Tuesday to 32 years in prison. She will serve at least 24 years before she is eligible for parole after earlier pleading guilty to one count of child abuse resulting in death and one count of second-degree murder in the death of her son.

Caleb's mummified body was found Jan. 22 — wrapped in blankets and plastic — under a mobile home Kinzie and her ex-boyfriend once shared. An autopsy report has not been released.
