MO - Ronnie A Bolin, 33, Jefferson County, 8 July 1996

I was wondering what the average sentence someone gets that is caught with a meth lab. He didn't really do much time. I'm suprised they didn't put more pressure on him and throw the book at him since he was a poi in the bolin case.

I was shocked that he didn't get much time - slap on the wrist. Manufacturing is huge, I think. If there weren't cooks, there'd be no product to sell. Maybe he turned informant. Buuuuut, that doesn't jibe with murder. I actually got angry when I saw he wasn't still in prison for manufacturing.

In 3-25-96 ( until at least 4-10-96, warrant filed, or 5-15-96, warrant recalled) Ronnie Allen Bolin's address was:

4633 LARRY LN
Hillsboro, MO 63050

..according to a Missouri court search in regards to a 'failing to wear seat belt' ticket.

https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/cases/nameSearch.do

"Failing to wear a seat belt"

The ticket was filed 3-25-96. Bolin fails to appear at court in 4-8-96. A warrant is issued in 4-10. In 5-14 he is sentenced then to pay a fine and the court costs.

It is important also to note that Bolin got divorced in 12-9-94 according to MO court docs. He did not show up and/or plead at that time.

This and the non-show, warrant etc. in connection with the '96 ticket filing clearly shows that Ronnie Bolin went through something in his life. As posted by Lilibet (thanks!), Bolin, a Reverend of his Church and agent for such corporation, also failed to properly either file an annual report or a dissolution of corporation.

What was going on with him?

My guess would be meth

I speculate that the divorce may have played a big role in all the changes. Could go either way, life changes lead to divorce or divorce leads to changes in life.

Some denominations wouldn't want a preacher who was divorced. I'm not familiar with the Church of God, so I don't know their position.

The address for the Hosanna Christian Center is the same address as the Church of God. It appears to me that the church remained at that address well past the end of this corporation. So I'm assuming the corporation did not equal the church, but had an additional purpose. I don't necessarily mean a nefarious purpose, just something a additional they wanted to do.

This aspect of the TS investigation (cold cases) really makes me want to investigate, but there seems to be so little out there.

All my opinions & speculations.

Here is the part of the info I posted in the CWW thread that may be relevant to RB.

CWW residence during this year’s arrest:

8894 CHAPEL HILL COURT,HILLSBORO, MO 63050

RB residence in 1996:

4633 LARRY LANE, HILLSBORO, MO 63050

The two locations are only 2 minutes apart.

https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/cases/nameSearch.do

https://www.google.com/maps

Also, in 1996 CWW was issued 2 warrants (March/June) for not appearing at court for driving with revoked license (02/96). He eventually turned himself in in JULY 24th! Thereafter more court dates and final sentencing. Bolin was last seen July 8[SUP]th[/SUP], 1996!

Yes, or meth.

Is there anyone here who can access this subscription article and quote the part where Ronnie's family indicates he got involved in drugs? I can see it on google, but can't open the article. I knew I had read it before on a thread. It would explain a lot.

One of Bolin’s relatives said the two families became friends after Bolin met Wright through church as a teenager. The relative asked not to be named in this story out of fear for retribution.

Before his disappearance, the relative said Bolin had gotten mixed up in drugs and began using methamphetamine with Wright.

“It was so out of character for him,” the relative said. “He just got messed up in stuff that I can’t even imagine.”

Wright’s criminal history includes a handful of drug charges, including an arrest for possession in May 1996, just two months before Bolin went missing. Police in a suburb of St. Louis found a .22-caliber revolver, a black plastic scale and three glass vials of a white powdery substance in Wright’s Camaro during a traffic stop, according to an arrest report.

The police are deep sea fishing if this is all they have to suspect cw in Bolin’s demise. Jmo

Do we know what made LE think CWW had something to do with RB's disappearance?

Maybe some DNA is just now being run and since this was a cold case and DNA was prehistoric back then, and CWW is being matched up now...who knows. But Interesting!

Thanks Kate! :) Dex, I think for CWW to have been a POI from the time RB disappeared, there must be more info, but not enough to arrest him. Using meth together would raise lots of red flags for me.

The thing that gets me is that RB was a BIG guy (5'7" 300 lbs). It would be hard for him to just disappear voluntarily and not be noticed, unless he went very far away and perhaps lost a lot of weight. And that's an awfully big body to bury or hide somehow without help. Was anyone in construction and/or pouring concrete at the time?

A couple of other streets named on the incorporation paper are Valley View Dr, Shepherd's Way (first address of RB IN '92), and Sassafrass Dr. The Larry Lane address mentioned above was listed in '93 and is close to where CWW lived before his recent arrest (correct?). Do any of these have a connection or proximaty to MS or CWW "back in the day"? I'm trying to tread the TOS carefully, since a couple of these addresses are connected to people who are not sleuthable.

from your link the rest of it.

Wright told the officer he used the crystal meth to stay awake while working nights. Reports show he was working for a technology company at the time.

Now that Wright is once again behind bars, Bolin’s family members are hopeful they might finally get answers.

“This may finally be the way to get him to start talking about what happened,” the relative said. “We just want it resolved.”

I was shocked too. Especially with the way Missouri has been trying to crack down on meth. Now really can't wrap my head around it since he was the poi in a missing persons case. You'd think they would throw the book at him.

Didn't we see a construction business on the list of businesses for one of our guys? Check those job sites.

LILIBET A week ago, I did some research on Mr. Bolin and notice "VAST DIFFERENCES" in the reporting of his weight.
http://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/MSHPWeb/mpphotos/A1001001A12G12B11346I902111.pdf
In that "official poster of Active Missing Persons" Mr. Bolin's reported weight is 80 LBS. LESS.
Just thought I would also point out, how incredibly strange the high number of people MISSING in Hillsboro, MO. Anyway, it seems awfully high to me considering the town has approximately 3,000 residents.

Thanks for that "weighty" information. :) I had missed that there was such a huge difference in reporting. I'd love to know where the two different numbers came from. Now I wonder if he was using meth to lose weight.

Yes, ten out of fourteen missing person listings in Jefferson county are from Hillsboro. Very strange.
