I am watching Greta and everytime she says 'breaking news', I hold my breath......it's about Mexico killings and kc new tape release.........

I'm surprised it's not all about Chris Brown. :furious:

Sorry, I'm still furious with HLN for earlier.

This looks really close, but I was just watching a video that Nursebee posted (I'll find the link and add it in just a minute) and the top of the case looks like it is leather or something stiffer than the body of the case. I'll find the link.

Salem

Yes, it does look like leather like material and a bit longer.
Actually looks expensive.
Took 6 guys to carry it. Looked like a longer travel suit/dress
bag...............did it have wheels? I didn't see any.
Wonder if any POI traveled allot?

me too secretsquirrel....me too. I'm trying really hard to hold on to the last bit of hope i have, but all the marking and photographs and bagging stuff today...just makes me think that they wouldn't have done all that if it wasn't something....and the airplane (c130?) with the scanning thingamajig that flew over....it could tell them what was in the bag without them having to open it....throw in the ME....:(
I feel the same way you do. They've put a lot of man-hours into this for it not to be important.

I feel the same way. With Caylee I didn't have any hope due to her family's actions. However, it still hit me very hard when they found her little body. With Sandra, I have lots of reasons I'm still hoping and praying, and I'm just refusing to give into what seems obvious...even though it's seeming more obvious as the hours go by. If we knew what was happening at Sandra's house it might give us a clue because her family would need to be notified before 8PM if it's bad news.

IMO, the odor surrounding that bag is what made the farmer call LE. There just had to have been an odor of decomposition for seasoned LE to have called the ME.

By this time, the ME knows whether or not it would be Sandra. I am hoping and praying it is not and that she is alive and well somewhere. It just does not sound good, tho. The positive identification would have to be made, then the mother and father would have to be notified. I am surprised at the PC tonight. I would have expected one early in the morning. If there had been nothing in the bag, wouldn't LE have just issued a press release that nothing relating to Sandra was found?

I have not been posting much but have kept up with Sandra's disappearance every day. There is one thing I am hearing that I do not like, and that is the installation of the camera only a couple of weeks prior. IMO, someone was well aware of that camera and wanted Sandra to be leaving camera range alive and well.

JMO

Sandra's family would have been notified by now right? or at least notified of a possible finding?

Hi Christine! Hope this helps everyone and thank you Salem

Just a quick question, and my apologies if this has been discussed already...but I know that I read (on thread 3??) that the family was going to issue a statement after the earlier press release...Did this happen?

I think they already know. LE would have to tell them first.

Yes, and wasn't the family supposed to give a statement at this afternoon's presser? I was under the impression that one of them would have actually been there to speak. The man who spoke at the presser said something to the affect of, "and that's the end of the statement I was just handed." Change in plans?

Wow!!! during the afternoon presser...le said the news copters up in the air were,
"in violation of an FAA regulation".....

Yeah- they declared the area a "no fly" zone

ETA-that's a first isn't it?

I've seen this particular type of suitcase or bag before, in fact my kid has one that we bought for her when she went on a choir trip last year. The handle extends up. The one she has is more similar to what was found, it's more slender than the ones arielilane has in her pics (thanks btw!) and it has the same zipper case attached in the front. This one looks a little higher end than the one we got though.

Figures they'd have a press conference when I'm heading for bed.

All links to past info on POI in Oakdale that was searched no longer work...not for me anyway
Quote:
Judy Thomas and her husband Arnold Thomas watched the search from across the street. Agents looked through a boat that sat in the driveway of the Oakdale home, brought out canines to sniff out the property and used ladders to help search unreachable areas.
There was also a hole dug a few inches into the ground in the backyard, sitting next to a number of shovels and metal detectors.
Both the FBI and the Tracy Police are not releasing any information about this search for fear of hindering the investigation.

Don't business type people (whether male or female) who travel a lot use the type of luggage that was found?

Lots of people use that kind of luggage, if it's the kind that I can see from the grainy pictures.

You know, I'm sitting here waiting with the rest of you, feeling the enormous love we all have for this beautiful little girl. I am crying my eyes out for so many reasons, the first one being the obvious--Sandra.
I have to say though, that the overwhelming love I feel just being here with you wonderful people helps me believe that there is still hope for this world yet. Thank you all for being who you are.
