are they resuming the arial search today?

I am still very focused on one particular person who lives in that area....I find several elements surrounding this person very suspicious.

But at the same time I know how important it is not to zero in too fast and to keep an open mind about other possible clues.

somehow the electronic data has to tell us something...I wonder what they really know...

Jackson-Foy, 34, July 30, 2006.
Rothen, 42, June 10, 2007. But her family did not report her missing for 3 weeks

OK, I was downplaying a connection in my mind as Maureen was last seen 7-9-07 which is 1 day before Rothen was officially reported missing 7-10-07. BUT, if she actually was last seen 3 weeks before then that would be more realistic as far as a connection.

Should we add them to carbuff's list of potential victims in the media thread?

wm

ETA I also wanted to mention that Foy was last seen 4 days before July 4th.

Ok so I was doing some Google searching I somehow put an Address I think it was XX Oak Beach-Gilgo and I see something that says No Strings attached.
I end up putting Oak beach LI N.Y no strings attached in Google and all these escort or hook up sites start to pop up. Only 1 has some Videos of Woman but in the links they all say some stuff. The weird thing is the dates seem to be recent like 21 Feb 2011, I'm thinking it must be some sort of trap or I know some of these Web sites just add stuff to your search. Still it is strange, I wish someone else would try it and let me know your opinion. Just go to Goggle type in the words No strings Attached Oak beach try a few different things.

Well, this is interesting too....

"The last victim to disappear was Amber Lynn Costello, a twenty-seven year old woman who was never reported missing. She was last seen on Sept. 2nd, 2010 in North Babylon where she rented an apartment. Costello was five feet tall with blonde hair and hazel eyes."

Now, why would she not have been reported missing? Where did they think she was all that time???

I tried different addresses from all over, Queens, Manhattan it's definitely different.

No one thinks this is odd?

Hi Righteous! I tried it, and I get the same thing, but I think there are just lots and lots of websites for hookups, and the "no strings attached" term is like a code word for finding them. What made you think to use that particular search term?

Someone who actually lives there, (and probably for more years than most people posting here have lived), whom I have been given no reason to doubt is not telling the truth, is directly contradicting the person who made the very long speech about people NEVER EVER getting washed out to sea, and that if you dropped a body in the water, it would just stay where you dropped it. The sea around Fire island would be an awfully stagnant body of water if that was true, I suggest someone needs to study up on water currents in the area and POST A LINK to back it up. In the meantime, I'm going with the neighbor and HE thinks it's quite likely she could have been taken out to sea. You can find the link for that interview on Newsday.com

Excuse my frustration, but I have stopped reading here the last few days as it seems to have been overrun with pages of opinions that are not backed up with any facts or links to support their theories.

FACTS please folks, not OPINIONS, we all have those, and most of them differ. :truce:

In a few minutes I'm going to provide a link to some aerial photos of Oak Beach as well as the areas where Newsday states the bodies were found. When you look at the photos of OB, you will see that the homes that have docks have very long piers. The reason why is that the water on that beach is incredibly SHALLOW. When the weather is nicer, I'm going to bring my camcorder down to the water on that stretch of beach and I'm going to toss a piece of driftwood in the water at the height of the tide and you will see what I'm talking about. Not saying that it's impossible to drown, just saying that if she did, her body would not have been swept away for nobody ever to find.

I've been hypothermic before from diving in a wetsuit in 36-38 degree water (because the divemasters had us do that for an advanced scuba diving license), and we had to save someone because I saw his regular leaking at 100 ft. down. I've also been diving in a dry suit under ice. Granted this was a long time ago. So, if she did fall into the water, yes, hypothermia in a very short time.

However, I find the idea that she may have just: fallen into the water

to be a bit of a stretch.

It's like with the case of missing Joshua Guimond. There were excuses that he had just fallen into a pond and his body was possibly consumed by turtles.

It also brings to mind all of the young men who supposedly "drowned" in rivers.

Seems improbable to me.

Plus, if she was chased and fell into the water and was washed out, her body or parts of her body would have surfaced and/or been washed up by now (as some of you have already said.)

Here is a link to photos I just uploaded. They were taken from a plane (NOT GOOGLE EARTH) using a high-def camera back in 2006. I included photos of Oak Beach near JB's house, the infamous GATE, as well as photos of the areas where Newsday's map claims the police found the bodies. If you open up these photos on a good photo viewing software you can zoom in right down to the bushes.

However, if she was chased and went into the water and drowned and her body was pulled out and removed, then I guess those persons chasing her might be charged with murder, right?

Well, this is interesting too....

Yes, you have to wonder why she wasn't reported missing. ESP. After seeing the picture of her bf and friend at the funeral. And she escorted w/ her "sister". They knew she was gone.....maybe afraid to call police - but if you love someone, I think you would call....even if you all were involved in prostitution. Fear can do strange things to people, though.

Question? Does anyone know how long the women in the burlap had been there.....I think I have read that they weren't there long and they were dumped at the same time......but that is really only a vague memory on my part. Reading so much...it's getting foggy. : ) I remember reading the other remains look like they have been there at least as long as the remains in burlap and perhaps quite a long time......but nothing more specific. Anyone know?

Just a thought....let's say JB wouldn't want to put the bodies near his house (not sure why he would - but some do keep bodies in their houses), would someone be trying to set him up? But I have read the area at night is desolate....maybe it just is a coincidence - though they are really adding up....those coincidences.

Here Check it out, 2 seperate links to google.

Why such a difference?

This is what I'm speaking about. The first 20 feet of water is under 2 feet deep. The current runs along the beach. As you can see there are outcoves that block the current too.

I would say the difference is because you picked a town that has no commercial listings as opposed to Flushing which has thousands. I just tried it with my town which is pretty small an not many businesses and I get the same type of listing like the Oak Beach-Gilgo Beach listings

try another small town on LI and you'll get the same thing
