I think the operative word here is 'cars'. There is more cars in the yard, than some have owned their entire lives. Totally agree with this potential. They'll be spotless. Its the symbolism.

Have the cars been destroyed? By whom? And not just his, the ones he may have borrowed.

I'm still interested to hear the description of the jewellery found by the stonemason in that abandoned warehouse on Government road? Just down from Janes daycare.

How does Jane go from the state we see in the video, to highly inebriated, seen by witnesses at Loch st?

Amazingly Iona Presentation College is bordered by Bay View Tce and Lochee st of its own.

That newspaper article has a snippet of information that I had never seen before <modsnip>.

13 June the police ask a blonde haired woman that used a mobile phone in Gugeri Street near the Continental at 1.00am to come forward. Could this have been Jane?

It also appears to me from the 10 June section that the Police notified the press on Monday 10th of Jane's disappearance.

Weeks prior puts the attacker in and around the Rally Australia event. An attempt to run Cutler off the road.

Dorothy, an attack at the Sheraton hotel was ripped out of her car in the carpark by her hair, wrapped in tape, then put into a car with a metal seat. (Rally and speedway cars have metal bomber passenger seats) The man driving a yellow Toyota, wearing driving gloves that were rough, according the media.

Re: AKA Dorothy’s Attack – Sheraton Hotel

My thoughts are the perpetrator may have been at Fenians Irish Pub which is also on Adelaide Tce opposite the Sheraton Hotel (Cnr Hill St). Perhaps the perp. was on his way home when he spotted Dorothy. Perhaps he was parked on Hill St. I’m thinking it was opportunistic because he wasn’t prepared, he didn’t have tape in his vehicle.

He pulled her arms behind her and wrapped them in parcel tape stolen from the couriers.

Was he already familiar with what was in the bin or just scavenged around to find something suitable?

Fenians opened in 1987 - I’m not sure what month, but three horrific incidents occurred between 1987/1988

Sally Greenham – August 1987 watoday
AKA Dorothy – May 1988
Julie Cutler – June 1988 MP

http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&r...b-perth.html&usg=AOvVaw2SW3-2YH1e8kWA26vzd5pV

Was the rally held on any of these dates Aug 1987, May or June 1988?

These are only my thoughts and opinions

Re: AKA Dorothy’s Attack – Sheraton Hotel
Snipped for brevity...
Perhaps the perpetrator wasn't dressed well enough to enter the Sheraton Hotel - didn't meet their dress code. Perhaps he started attending the annual rally held near or on Riverside Drive, and discovered the Fenians Hotel. Perhaps he could enter Fenians dressed in casual clothing.

He may have become very irate if he was refused entry at the Sheraton Hotel. It may have triggered an inferiority thing.

These are only my thoughts and opinions.

The issue with mobile phones in the day, and police should check if each of the individuals, apart from Sarah who allegedly used the phone box near 347 Stirling highway & Stirling road, is the mobile phones were analogue.

Analogue mobile phones were easy to listen to by an electronics engineer as they were essentially were an open broadcast for someone with the right equipment. Im not sure, but I think a fancy scanner could receive mobile phone broadcasts. Certainly someone in Telecom would know how to do this with the understanding of the network.

I wonder if police could check calls made in that tower location on each night one the girls went missing? The calls would be a lot in the scope of things as only a few people had them.

I cant remember when police triangulation started but it must have been around then.

I had one granted for my work as it was cheaper for me to call on location. The mobile phone paid for itself rapidly. I remember faxing from my car via a laptop with a cord from laptop to phone. And I can tell you the receiving company freaked out whent he fax came in from a non landline.
It was a very interesting time.

Internet was essentially open. Western Australian kids were dialling into banks with modems.

If Jane used a mobile phone, someone could have intercepted that call with ease if they worked for Telecom. Did they have a scanner in their car?

Police should check electrics on the car to see if any electronics had been grafted in under the dash etc?

Thanks didn't see that. The girl with surname Clayton in that article gives some pretty good indication that it was Jane seen hitching on the highway doesn't it. It makes sense to me as well with a scenario similar to: Mystery Man tells Jane I'll just go off and pick up my car and will be back for you. Doesn't show intentionally so Jane starts walking. He's met her earlier in the night so has a pretty good idea where she lived. Watches her walk off then abducts her from Stirling Highway.

Thanks good article with the Eric st mention petedavo.

It would be very interesting to know exactly what date this 'rage' event occurred. The offender could well have planned for this to be the night that Julie's vehicle was meant to end up in the ocean. Given that the climax of the event occurred adjacent to the intersection of Stirling Highway and Eric Street and indeed Eric Street is the only street that gives direct access from Stirling Highway to the area where Julie's vehicle was ultimately located a couple or so weeks later. I also wonder if the event in May adjacent to the Sheraton is actually linked to Julie's 'rage' event - the same night. Press described the Sheraton event occurred 'several' or a 'few' weeks prior to Julie's disappearance. In fact they occurred 24 days apart which could be described in such a way.

If Julie's 'rage' event occurred on the same night as the Sheraton event this could be why this perpetrator was totally and utterly exploding with rage. He had missed his chance with Julie.

Dorothy was dumped in Centenary Park, Wilson. The timing puts it in with Rally Australia 1988. *As per post dates a couple pages back

As you can see here Papertrail, this is where Dorothy was dumped at Centenary Park. Surrounded by Curtain University, Canning Sea Scouts who do events at Kewdale Highschool. And of course Bentley Community hall where Corryn Rayney did her line dancing before she ended up on Mt Eliza.

and it was Australia's bicentennial celebrations in 1988!

I found some info, but cant since find celebration dates, such as when the Queen was in?

Seeing as Cutlers car was dumped in the ocean, was she abducted at Parmelia (ironically the first ship to bring settlers) from her car in a similar manner as Dorothy?
Grabbed by the hair and bashed until her organs gave way? You can see how other victims might have been abducted.

Also during this tour visited Canberra. The Prince and Princess of Wales also made a visit during the bicentenary celebrations in 1988.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent visited Queensland in April 1985 to open the Performing Arts Complex at Southbank. Their Royal Highnesses visited Toowoomba on 24 April following an invitation by Steven Rafter to visit the Toowoomba Grammar School.

The Queen and Prince Philip also made a popular visit in 1988 as part of the bicentenary celebrations. On Saturday 30 April 1988, the Queen opened the World Expo in Brisbane before opening the new permanent Parliament House in Canberra on Monday 9 May.

During the bicentenary celebrations, Australia was also visited by The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Duke and Duchess of York and The Duke and Duchess of Kent.

Parmelia was a barque that was used to transport the first civilian officials and settlers of the Swan River Colony to Western Australia in 1829.

In 1992 the Queen returned to the sesquicentenary of the incorporation of the city of Sydney. In the last years of the decade she did not visit the country to avoid being embroiled in the debate about future of the monarchy. Her next tour was timed to be made well after the 1999 referendum on the republic. The Australian government of John Howard had advised the Queen on the timing.[17]

Police have increased the reward for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons involved in the 1999 suspected murder of Kalgoorlie woman Lisa Govan.

After her divorce in 1996, Diana, Princess of Wales made one subsequent visit prior to her death in 1997.

In 1828 the British government, at the urging of Captain James Stirling, decided to establish a colony at the Swan River in Western Australia. HMS Challenger was despatched under Charles Fremantle to annex the colony, and it was arranged that a contingent of soldiers, officials and settlers would follow on HMS Sulphur.
Contrary to popular belief, Stirling did not captain Parmelia (J. H. Luscombe did[2]); on arrival, however, he assumed the duties of pilot. He initially tried to enter Cockburn Sound through a passage that he had discovered in 1827, but was prevented by strong winds and a heavy swell. Instead he hove to off Rottnest Island for the night. The following day, he tried to bring Parmelia into the Sound from the north, against the advice of Fremantle, and ran aground on a sand bank, later to be named Parmelia Bank. Despite the best efforts of the crews to dislodge her, Parmelia remained on the bank for over 18 hours

Allon Mitchell Lacco, a convicted sex offender once described by WA Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan as "one of the worse violent offenders in Western Australia" allegedly told the acquaintance "there's a body going in there" as they drove past Kings Park in 2007.

Dorothy was allegedly adducted by a yellow Toyota wearing rough driver gloves, strapping her in a steel seat that is often used as rally or speedway seat around the time of the 1988 Rally Australia.
Dorothy was then dumped at Centenary Avenue, Wilson. In 1998 year of Bicentenary celebrations.

I cant get back to the prior post with a link for Google 'EARTH' which cant be online referenced as it is PC based. Elizabeth wreck is about where Cutlers seat was found, South side the groyne. About out front of John Curtains house approx in line with Jarrad street and Rosser street on the S32 parallel.

I think it was called Telecom in 1988. Ill check. It may have still just been PMG. It was then called Telecom I believe.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postmaster-General's_Department
The Australian Government Postmaster-General's Department (PMG) was established at Australia's Federation tasked with responsibility for postal and telegraphic services. It was abolished in December 1975 concerning growing responsibility, and the two separate legal entities were established: Telstra, and Australia Post.
