No need to get upset. It was just a typo on my part.

I know people who have been charged with felonies. I work with people who have been, and I have seen the worst grow into productive members of society. It does happen.

BBM: Again, she was convicted.

To the "second chance" and "sympathy" crowd:

I understand those feelings, though I disagree. I recognize that although the Court system may be a legitimate system of delivering justice, it is not the ONLY legitimate means of delivering justice.

Every time I DON'T watch a KC news program or buy the inevitable books, that is legitimate dispensation of justice. Every time I discourage others from watching or buying, that is justice.

Some compassionate person might give KC a job or second chance. And if she does "do right" for a long time - get her GED, get a college degree and/or pursue a career and not break the law, over time, the compassion threshold may drop and others may assist her. She may create a decent life for herself.

But nothing happened in a courtroom that compels or even suggests that she be welcomed with open arms. She fell into an abyss. She'll have to get herself out to look the rest of us in the eye. There's nothing vengeful about that.

Excellent post - thank you. Getting a second chance isn't a given, it's earned.

IF and when Casey Anthony turns her life around and proves to be a model citizen and a contributing member of society, I MAY change my mind about her. I very much doubt it will happen with her. Although it does happen on rare occasion. I'm intrigued by Stacey Lannert's story and looking forward to reading her book, 'Redemption'.

She was acquitted.
That doesn't make her innocent. Since you respect the juries verdict so much then does it mean anything to you that none of the three of the 12 that has spoken out has said she was innocent? Two of them even voted for guilt originally.

Even if you believe in her innocence she is a lying thief that completely disregarded her daughter's life by having her body in her trunk at some point, allowing it to be dumped in a swamp like trash, and then goes out and parties as if her daughter never existed. On top of that she lies to police, but even worse, she lies to her family that were so desperate to see that little angel. And before all this she never bothered to provide, sacrifice, and build a life for her daughter.

At best Casey is a lying thief that never had no sense of responsibility for the life she brought into the world and allowed her to be thrown in the swamp as if she was nothing more than a piece of garbage to her.

Again she brought this firestorm upon her self. She doesn't deserve anything until she earns it for herself.

Do we know that he didn't travel with her??? I think he's going to leave his wife for Casey, he's that devoted to her, unless he finally realizes that she acts like a 2 year old!

LOL.

Has anyone ever seen Mrs. Baez?

Shes quite the stunner. I dont think Jose is as obsessed with Casey as much as all the people who are following her life and have been living and breathing her everyday for 3 years.

I suppose the two of them could be taking a little mini vacation but, eventually they will be back in business and back to Orlando.

You can hire anyone you like. But don't put down a business that decides to pass on an admitted thief and liar.I guess she could get some kind of govt. job.Do they look at a persons background the same as the private sector?

She will NOT get a government job if it requires her "passing" the MMPI-2.

-------------
Any other ideas?

- her lying, while repugnant, is also considered commendable by some. She is going to be transformed into a "Nikita."

- the pimp has some Shiek or another paying to have her shipped over to be the shot girl manager at his harem.

- she is couch-lounging eating a vat of chicken nuggets, watching stoopit people on tv "unlike her" talking about where she could be.

Ummm, what is a "Nikita?"

I would think that to be a government employee would require a high school education at minimum, and I know state civil service employees have to pass tests and probably have references...

I have not - do you have a link? Thanks.

And how is she supposed to do that with all of the hatred against her? If the public would stop threatening her and accept that she was acquitted, she could possible get a job. Who is going to hire her right now? Seriously.

She didn't have a job before all of this. Why should we expect that she wants one now? :waitasec:

That is the crux of the matter. Everyone wants her to fail and will do whatever they can to ensure that happens.

It's not about giving her special privileges but allowing her to become a productive and contributing member of society.

She wasnt one before she killed her daughter what makes you think she is different now?

I've followed the case for the past 3 years, so I guess I'm in your list.

But I can tell you, I'm not obsessed with Casey... I was very concerned with Justice for Caylee.

She didn't get it.

Oh my! When has she ever been a productive or contributing member of society?

Well we know she won't be driving a car anytime soon. It is reported that she had Six seizures while in prison. If she has seizures, they will take her license (or not give it) then she might have to be monitored, medicated etc. for a length of time before re testing and getting a license.

it was alleged by the guards they thought they were fake seizures. So the release last night may have cured them. Release= Epilepsy gone!

I need to see a reliable link to where its said she had 6 seizures in jail.

Cos, I doubt it.

Yes, I would give someone like her a chance if I deemed them capable.

I agree she probably does need counseling.

It is going to be a tough road to climb as it is for anyone who has been incarcerated and charged with felonies. It will take much effort on her part to rebuild her life and character. However, that isn't the point I am making.

My point is that people should leave her alone so she can get on with doing this.
People don't owe her anything, not even an easy time. She brought this on herself and will have to deal with it the best she can. She can vent her frustrations to her imaginary friends as far as I'm concerned as long as she stays frustrated the rest of her life.

She lucked out with having a slack jury. She's gotten her break. What she does now is up to her. If past behavior is an indication of future behavior, she's doomed by her own hands. Karma is knocking.

Exactly! Casey should fail and I hope she does. Casey does not deserve to suceed (sp) at anything she does. Casey will never be a productive member of society.

You go right on ahead gladiatorqueen...just lock up your valuables and your children. We already know what she does with those. Psychopaths cannot be cured...even by the well meaning.
