Does my memory serve me correctly, that HHJP kept the woman that hasn't been away from her hubby in 42 years and said she'd need meds?? Has she been interviewed a second time if so? TIA.

I think we should all go for a walk on Clearwater Beach to stretch our weary bones and to clear our JB muddeled brains.. ( That man drives me nutz )

I don't know about y'all but my butt gets tired from all the sitting..

OT: FWIW I think the only thing that the Senate and the House accomplished within the past year on a Bi-partisan level was to vote to force commercials to not blast out the volume on the tv anymore . . . I don't remember the date this law goes into effect.

Back to topic: In Session is currently interviewing a Law Professor whom I find extremely interesting and she appears to have a good grasp on this case.

The CALM Act was signed into law on Sept 29, 2010 and is expected to be implemented with the year.......per Wikipedia.

and she was a great interview............to keep this OT

IDK about in Florida, but in this state he could. I doubt he would. He is pro-DP, he may see this as a case that DP is proper. They were better off with Judge S, he may have left it at LWOP.

I don't see the jurors giving her DP though, especially 2 that seem to be more followers than thinkers.

That's exactly what I was wondering, if this jury votes Life, could he still give her the DP? This jury is going to be interesting - Thank goodness we have JA and LDB to lead them to Justice for Caylee!

No - that woman was struck for hardship right away - this is the woman who has a myalgia condition that requires medication daily - she's in her 40s

I don't know in reverse like that. I think if the jury says LWOP he sticks with it. Better wait for one of the lawyers here to answer it that way.

IS has JB's interview again.........gee, all the poor kids out there that didn't get this attention..........

yep, all those mothers out there who were really missing their children, who didn't murder them.............yes JB - its a freekin shame allright.

Last shot before deputy escorts her to her holding cell. I can't tell if she and Baez have made up or not.

Here ya go! Time to "clear" our minds on Clearwater Beach........

I thought of that yesterday - does she HAVE to sit right next ti ICA/ ICA keeps trying to yak at her - I'm suspicious she's trying to catch AF's illness.

.

They will not delay the trial if casey is sick, unless she has to be hospitalized, IMO. If she has a cold, she has a cold. Too bad.

It seems the defence does not want anyone sitting on the jury who is educated, ..they seem to want jurors who are inclined to listen to testimony with emotion, rather then facts.

Where as the prosecution want jurors who will think rationally, and use science to factor in their decision making.

The elderly lady from last week has me very concerned. Her lack of socialism may cause her to want to strike out at the rest of the jury panel and simply be difficult because she seems to have a lack of trust towards others.

I do hope the prosecution is still able to strike her, due to lack of understanding the complex testimony she is about to hear from witnesses, law enforcement, scientists. etc.

MOO

That should tell you something about their case! But no, they will not be able to strike the elderly lady. They are done with her and barring a miracle, she's on the jury.

Can anyone tell us what she said?

I have never seen that done. If a judge overrides a jury it's usually the other way around but it is rare.

I did not see what caused their argument, only the shot of him calling her a 2-yr old.......what actually happened and was it so obvious that they are still behaving this way in front of the camera and jury?

Is JB already distancing himself from his wonderful, intelligent, loving client???

Is AF sick or not? I'm asking because someone posted in today's jury selection thread that she should get a steroid shot. I replied with this:
:floorlaugh:
Because I thought it about her demeanor or something. I got here late and haven't seen her yet.
I REALLY need to get with it!

I find JB interviews on IS sort of disingenuous,(nothing new for him) on one hand he discredits one of their shows (Nancy Grace ENTERTAINMENT) and on the other hand he gives interviews for IS. So with that being said I guess this is the Jose Baez Entertainment Interview. Sort of biting the hand that feeds you I would say. :waitasec:

I sure hope AF dosen't get anyone else sick cuz I don't want the trial delayed.

The JB PR firm must have told IS to change defendants pic that is flashing on the bottom of their screen...they should go back to the mug shot.

Nice!! I may need to take a swim, someone save my seat when lunch is over please! TIA!

The lady in the interview was Rikki (forgot her last name) and she has been on many of the talking head shows.......she gave the State's perspective first, saying they had a very strong case and need to present the evidence that is strongest first and keep it simple. She emphasized the 31-days is HUGE. For the defense, sorry I missed some of it, but basically emphasize that being a bad mother is not equal to being a murderer. Hope this helps.

I don't know how I'm going to sit or lay down to watch this trial. Two MRI's ordered (degenerative bones in my neck and possible spine) Right now I can barely hold my head up. I wonder if I can use my PS3, browse the web to WFTV to watch live from there. Does anyone know?
