Just gets creepier and creepier

The top top brass at MGM have certainly stayed close with their employee tho

haven't they??

The head of the unions name is
[h=2]David L. Hickey[/h]http://www.spfpa.org/david-l-hickey.html

Why are you picking on Hickey? He's done nothing wrong.

Yes, here's the link:

ETA: Response to request for a link to news story about MGM execs and security guards being present when Campos was taken away.

Except that doesn’t appear to say what you’re claiming it does. It says a union rep and MGM-hired (but independent) security guard were with him when he disappeared. Not that he was left alone with an MGM exec and disappeared without union support... that’s almost exactly the opposite of what happened.

The people who think that there is some conspiracy to hide multiple shooter or that victims were involved in the shooting, can you tell me why, LE would involve themselves in hiding these things? To what end?

No idea.
BUT there were 3000 people in that hotel, at least, probably more, at that time.. If indeed he did have help, its more likely to have been somebody else present in that hotel at that time.

I've heard the rumors about "no cameras" at Mandalay Bay, but is there a news link to back this up? Just curious. I'd like to avoid speculating or discussing something that may just be rumor and this is one that keeps popping up.

TIA
Yes. None in the hallways at MB

We disagree. It happens. Why are you trying to make it seem as though MGM fired him when there's no evidence to support that? Why are you trying to imply the labor union he belongs to is up to something nefarious when there's also nothing to suggest that?

Campos is a victim, not a suspect. This is a victim-friendly forum.

The difference in this case is that we have the immediate reaction from witnesses caught on tape. And they are reporting multiple shooters and shootings at other hotels.

The US soldiers you speak of may not have known where the shots were coming from, but they knew if there was more than one shooter, you can bet on that!
I would not state as fact that the soldiers knew immediately if there was more than one shooter without a source.

Those harassing and defaming Campos need to remember that victims have successfully sued news organizations, groups, etc. for this kind of behavior, for libel, defamation of character, invasion of privacy, etc. Its one of the reasons the established news media is so careful today about accusing witnesses of criminal complicity without proof.

I dont know if it is harassment . He was at the scene of the biggest mass shooting,

I certainly think media interest in him (look at us !) is understandable.

His vanishing and appearing and vanishing etc is def unique.

He is an adult . If he wanted to do interviews that ought to be his choice.

A core issue here is (linked a couple posts back) that it is fact that security has been hired and paid for by others.

Why would a hero need armed security 24/7/

Heros are not typically in danger.

Someone somewhere obviously believes
that this guy is in danger from someone or some organization.

At some level the-- considering the outcome of the event- likelihood of more than one shooter is just more or less more logical that a 62 year old out of shape dude doing this .

It kinda just leans that way moo

It was a stupid question as well.
LE had nO reason to examine his hands, he had been shot in the leg reportedly.
These were 'independant' journalists in their own minds, its possible they didn't have press credentials either.
But presser was handled badly by Sheriff and FBI.
All journalists remarked on that.. all were tarred with same brush..

Answering hard questions is part of his job.
He didn't like the press coverage he had received.. but spacing out pressers and then throwing them at an hours notice is asking for trouble.
There was no good reason not to allow CNN to do their slot.. journos were also asked to be there by 10,15.. it was extremely short notice.

there is no evidence at all to suggest that it was either his decision or choice to renege. all evidence has pointed towards his boss, preventing the interview.

Could be. You think he was getting ready to spill his guts and say he was not a hero like has been portrayed and his handlers squashed the idea?

Thanks for the link:

Casinos like Mandalay Bay “spend millions and millions of dollars on security,” said a surveillance expert who helped install an early version of Mandalay Bay's security systems after it opened in the 1990s. The system he installed had close to 1,200 cameras, and he guesses Mandalay Bay has about 3,000 cameras now.

“They’re all recording 24/7. Anybody who walks through that door is an asset. They’re going to take care of their assets,” said the expert, who declined to be identified because of concerns of future litigation.

But hallways can be difficult for security cameras to capture — they might be too long or too dark to show what's actually happening — so hotels instead put cameras on bottlenecks like elevator banks. “Typically they want to see who’s coming onto the floor and off the floor, and they can tell now who goes into rooms with the keycards,” the expert said.

At this point he is an alleged victim.

As far as I know he has not been cleared of any involvement.

Like many say we have to wait for the "investigation"

You might want to revisit the case of Richard Jewell and the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta.

Campos is not a suspect, he's a victim of the shooter. He has spoken to and been investigated by LE. He is not a suspect.

Thanks for the link:
I read that part. I am curious to know if this is all MGM properties? Just this one? All hotels in Vegas? Etc. I would think a LOT of crap happens in those hallways especially in Vegas. With parties etc. I really surprised. I mean regardless how much money they spend on security, getting up quickly to the 32nd floor by any human isn't as quick as a camera in a control room. JMO

SP didn't look like a muscle-man in the photos I've seen, but to keep insisting that he is an "out of shape dude". . . where is that description coming from? He looks to be in better physical shape than most 64 year-olds that I see.

Stephen Paddock was 64 years old (not 62):

Wikipedia states he died in Paradise, NV:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Paddock
Born Stephen Craig Paddock
April 9, 1953
Clinton, Iowa, U.S.

Died October 1, 2017 (aged 64)
Paradise, Nevada, U.S.

I think he is in danger..
He's in danger of some nutjob taking pot-shots at him because of what they're being fed by gutter journalists.. they lap up every word they say.. He is now a target.

Consider instead why the MB people did not want him to be questioned and whether or not it had anything to do with the new statement they had released that day?

Did he see somebody else there, hear voices in that room?
was he sure it was Paddock that had shot him?

I dont know if we will ever know, at least not from Campos..

Remember he had spent 4 days being prepared for these interviews.. He was ready, he knew what he would say..

He was prevented from saying anything by MB.

Lets turn our attention to MB instead?

I haven't heard them address it for any mass murders. And there were a ton surrounding 9/11, Sandy Hook etc

The language in the comment I was replying to did not confine the statement to mass murders, so my response did not, either. In any case, you are incorrect in your statement that LE did not address previous CT surrounding mass shootings.

The state police’s Vance told Salon that he was disgusted by the conspiracy theories: “There’s no hoax. I was there. I stepped over the dead children. That’s no hoax. And it’s offensive to me as an investigator, and it’s offensive to the families who lost their babies to have people come up with silliness like this.”

The receipt says he was in room 32135 on the 27th. With one other guest.

My apologies, still looking for your link. If SG wasn't in room on the 27th, why would his name be on the receipt? That's a huge red flag that the receipt isn't legitimate. If your source MSM? The thing with room service, much like phonecalls, the hotel simply bills the room #. The person to whom the room is registered to pays the tab and so it doesn't matter who orders room service. If there's a name on the receipt, you should be sceptical. JMO
