Officers responded to Millicent Williams’ home where they were greeted by family members. Police said Williams’ wasn’t inside the home, and there were signs of a struggle.

Investigators told FOX 5 they believe Williams' grandson could be connected to her disappearance. That's because witnesses told police they saw Williams' grandson, Gregory Anthony Williams, pulling out of the neighborhood in his grandmother's car.

Police have named Gregory Anthony Williams a person of interest in Ms. Williams' disappearance.

Williams is described as having gray hair and brown eyes. Her missing vehicle is a 2014 silver Toyota Corolla with the following Georgia license plate: CBN6655.

I'm curious why that woman's running at about or before 1416. Did anyone see that? She's still running later on. I guess they let runners run around search areas/ potential cs? Also, I don't like that the grandson was driving her car, he could've taken her anywhere, even if alive too she's elderly it's hot outside. If he left her somewhere alive it wouldn't be good for her either way. I don't think they are looking for a live person though by observing this, and knowing of blood in home, and cadavers. It's really sad. All imo always

If they are showing Flat Shoals Park, there is a jogging trail there.

I'm not sure if they have found her car yet. If the grandson is no longer driving it, they may find her in it.

Thursday morning, Gregory Anthony Williams was named a person of interest in the disappearance of Millicent Williams. Police said Gregory Williams was arrested after they found him in his grandmother's stolen vehicle shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses told police they saw Gregory Williams pulling out of the neighborhood in his grandmother's car, a 2014 silver Toyota Corolla.

Police spotted the vehicle early Thursday afternoon and followed it to the Kroger parking lot located in the 4900 block of Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, which isn't far from Mrs. Williams' home. Investigators said when Mr. Williams got out of his grandmother's vehicle, he was taken into custody.

Mr. Williams has been charged with theft by taking.

Ugh reading these now makes it sadder. A vet with no mental help hurting or possibly killing his own grandmother, it's a sad case. I'm wondering if during all the previous situations if he was offered any sort of mental help. Either way millicent should have been protected, I imagine it's even harder for the police to keep the mentally ill from people with Just a piece of paper telling them no. Sad all around and prayers for the family. A day is too long for her to be out Alone let alone an entire week. I would hope she's clinging on to life, and a miracle will come for millie. It looks grim, but hope is what we have here. So I'm hoping for the best. Imo always

The judge did not set a bond amount and Williams is expected back in court August 15.

The search for Millicent will continue Sunday.

Divers focused their efforts on a lake in Decatur’s Chapel Hill Park.

Police searched the 33-acre park on Sunday while divers sifted through currents. A DeKalb County cadaver dog was placed in the boat to see if it could pick up Williams’ scent.

Police have also been searching various areas of the park for the past few days.

Officials called off their search of the area shortly before 6 pm, and are unsure where they will focus their efforts next.
