What did we learn today 7-01-2011

All quotes from the courtroom are approx.

We learned that JB whines more than a 2 year old with a toothache.

JB: The problem is Judge, we cannot reopen our case.

It seems JB is under the impression that the prosecution gets to put on their case, the defense can then put on their case and load it with liars, but the prosecution never gets a chance to rebut those lies. :banghead:

HHJBP: On one hand you say it is all a big surprise to you and on the other hand I say you can take their depositions.

HHJBP: If you need extra time to take these depositions, you can have it. We will take all the time you need for this, but we'll be here Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

JB is on HHJBP's last nerve and that JB's problem with the forensic anthropologists report. He is saying, if IIRC, that the forensic anthropologist the state called made no mention of the "brain dust" in his report and therefore shouldn't be allowed to rebut Dr. Spitz's testimony.

JA is saying that the state isn't calling Dr. Goldberger (the forensic anthropologist) to say anything about brain dust but that there was no residue in the skull of anything. (Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong about that.)

HHJBP (Responding to JB's assertion that what the prosecution is going to rebut was never in the prosecution's witness' report. JA says it is.) "This better be a real problem and not an imaginary problem because if I read that report and find it in there...(nothing more said.)

JA: Goldberger has produced report regarding cranial wash to rebut Dr. Spitz's testimony. No organic material was found. Considered a sub-opinion. Goldberger is also listed as a defense witness. Opening skull is not protocol for anthropological exam (HA! I knew it!)

JB believes a toxicologist can't testify to whether something is organic or inorganic.

The trial is in recess indefinitely. I think that means that as soon as the lawyers are done taking depositions that they will call the jury back. When that will happen who knows? It could be later today from what I get from HHJBP's comments.

I learned that JB is trying to ICA his way out of this trial ending (postpone, tell mistruths, and/or fake illness)

I am learning that Jose Baez gets away with EVERYTHING under the "cloak" of the 6th Amendment.

And I'm tired of it.

And I'm not entirely sure that whatever happens after the trial will bother him one iota - or that whatever punishment HHJP metes out will be enough to please most of the people who have followed, and been astonished by, Baez' childish disrespect and dishonesty during this entire case.

How unfair of them... I hope court comes back. We honestly just have no idea?

I learned (but not today) that Jose Baez is so damn disrespectful to HHJP. While the judge was addressing BOTH attorneys Jose turned away and was talking to someone else. :banghead:

so what are they able to say? "It's either poisonous or not but I have no idea if it's organic or inorganic"? And JB would call that an expert witness?

One would think that practicing toxicology would require some basic knowledge of biology, chemistry and medicine which would help in identifying organic vs. inorganic matter.

He's just being difficult or else he thinks everybody else knows as little of their field as he does.

I learned that it came as a total shock to JB that there is a rebuttal phase to this trial and in the rebuttal phase the state is going to try to rebut some of the lies the defense witnesses came up with. They think it's a discovery violation that the state didn't rebut the lies before they were uttered on the stand since it would save the defense some embarrassment.

I also learned that there were no searches done for chlorophyll. Uh oh. Guess someone lied.

I am thinking Jose was a very spoiled child that rarely, if ever, had the word "no" enforced. When he was told "no" he whined and whined and whined....till he got his way. all IMO

I learned that apparently I am going to have to extend Saturday's "I think I'm getting sick" to Sunday's "Oh I feel really bad", into Monday's "OMG I can't go out on the boat, I'll hurl".

I've learned that HHJP is so frustrated with the DT that he stated, "I don't care what y'all do, folks." 'nuff said

I voted re: the work records.
It's funny how, JB actually thought he would allow CA to get up there.. lie for the defense and be unchallenged...that dude..*shakes head*

edited to add: I learned that, the whole month as past me by, I've been buried in this trial..*hangs head in shame*

I think KC is walking. However, I also think GA made that possible more so then JB.
Unfortunately while JB is a ding bat IMHO he is doing exactly what GA said long long ago,
"no body, no crime", and "cant tie KC to any murder", and on and on...
GA said many things if we all go back and review. I just have no time or interest in doing that.
I am not quoting GA - he said these things in different words.

IMO
JB will get a verdict that is either a mistrial, or a cant prove 100% who done it.
Or he will be thrown off for BS he does, and get another trial,
the longer it takes to get to a verdict the more things will be lost.
MOST trials that take too long end up with an unjust verdict.

in the end KC wont even say "Thank you Daddy"

This trial is making a mockery of our system.:twocents:

Or he will be thrown off for BS he does, and get another trial,
the longer it takes to get to a verdict the more things will be lost.

ICA is not walking, just back to her jail cell!!! I think there might be a hung jury not THEY WILL NOT find her NOT GUILTY.

I think its another JB delay tactic and it will backfire on them!!!!!

I saw that too especially Judge Perry WAS ADDRESSING HIM!! in my opinion, the SA gave him everything..

I learned that Casey has imaginary friends and Baez has imaginary problems.
