Respectfully snipped from KaylynnCouture...

I read that as well.. Why did the teen has access codes for the garage ?
jmo....

We have a key to our neighbor's home and had the access code for their garage. There could be any number of reasons why the teen neighbor had it.

The issue with the teen may be nothing more than the police wanting to be thorough and wanting anyone and everyone near the house examined.

I don't think the room or the crib was left like that AFTER LE was done with it, I think it was put back together and staged by the tv crew for the tv clip hence the height of the mattress and the baby bath etc inside the crib. JMO.

I don't think that the TV crew would adjust the height of the mattress. First of all, I'm not sure about that particular set-up but when we adjusted the height of our DD's mattress in her crib, we had to untie/move/retie the bumper.

Sorry to bump my own post, but does anyone know?

Yes, they've looked into all of that.

This is from a presser given on Oct. 5 at 2:00 p.m.

Again, Capt. Has no leads, not ruling out anything. 300 knocks and searches. 46 tips. No ransom note. Family is free to go where they would like. Family does not want to be at house.

Wonder why the bag was put over the window?

Is the teen female or male?

Maybe the "WE" the mother was talking about was the teen??

Did Casey take a polygraph? Pass or fail?? Just wondering.

I think I'm overdosing on WS - was just answering email and, after my friend made a very good point about this case, I looked for the "thanks" button. Gmail doesn't have one. Good grief.

:floorlaugh:

You've officially been sucked into this one.

I have to apologize to you for that. I have modified the article and put an edit note at the end explaining my thoughts. I don't normally let my conjecture come out as fact like that and as soon as a member asked me how I knew that is when I realized I had done a tremendously bad error of stating my conjecture as fact.

It is fixed now. So my apologies for speaking as if that was fact.

The problem I have is that at 2:30 pm on Tuesday we had two things stated by LE working the case: 1. Statement made to Fox 4 that NOTHING else was missing from the home, and 2. A statement made by Capt. Steve Young that there was no indication, other than possible tampering with the window, to indicate an intruder broke into the home.

While we still don't know what time exactly Lisa was reported missing, from 4 am to 2:30 pm, with the intense questioning Deborah and Jeremy are describing, I maintain that the police having no knowledge of missing phones that late in the day is a bad bad thing.

The problem here is that at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, the parents were still being questioned and this "spokesperson" officer could not possibly have been made aware of EVERYTHING that they had told officers in the hours and hours of interviews. Plus, he is under no obligation to divulge what info they did have, or to even be truthful, as is the case with any LE officer.

It's worse when you're having a face-to-face conversation with someone and you picture the perfect emoticon to insert...

I took a polygraph for my first real job while still in HS. I was a nervous wreck! I showed deception but was allowed to explain it afterwards. I got the job. I don't think I would ever take one for LE though, I really would be a nervous wreck!

Wow, these things are so revealing about how wrong they can be! And even less trusted is handwriting analysis but I took several classes in this from a renowned graphologist who used to work for Scotland Yard and it can reveal so much. There are so many traits for deception. She has solved so many crimes. You have the person write a normal paragraph about what they did that day with the last sentence saying, for instance, "I had nothing to do with my daughter's disappearance." If you get a bunch of these and the guilty party is among them, you will see a handwriting change (99% of the time) when they get to the "the lie". It's a slant change usually. But there are rare cases where pathological liars convince themselves they didn't do it, and it might not show in their handwriting sample.

Oh -- in these cases where she used this technique, the guilty party who ended up confessing was the handwriting sample she gave to the bosses telling them to question that person further.

I actually took a break from the thread and spent some time visiting with my mother last night so I may have missed anything new but when last I was on, Fox news had reported an "unnamed source close to the investigation" or some such had provided them with the tip about a phone call from the home at 2:30. I do not know if that has ever been vetted anywhere else.

I tend to be suspicious of "unnamed sources" and am skeptical that people "close to the investigation" would be blabbing to the press, although I am sure it does happen sometimes.

Does anyone know, has the 2:30 phone call been covered in other press or have we ever gotten anything more about that? TIA

I've not seen anything else regarding this except for on FOX news as they reported yesterday. Everything else that I can find is just people discussing it on blogs or message boards or on comments after news articles.

I'm going with the possibility that LE dismantled the crib and took away ALL the original bedding including the bumper and it was put back together with a second set of bedding for the tv clip. Dunno, just throwing stuff out there. It's a bit like the pj/shorts argument, I think the height of the mattress is a bit of a red herring.

luminol was used so they covered the window to darken the room?

Interestingly I mentioned on here yesterday that taking the cellphones sounded more like something a teenager would do.

I still haven't made up my mind. As someone who get's intuitive "feelings" about people, the mom hasn't convinced me yet that she was not involved. Neither has the dad. There is something about mom, that bugs me and I can't put my finger on it just yet.

However, even though Deborah said that the baby would go to anyone, I wonder how a sick baby, would act in the arms of a stranger, I have had four kids, and I have grandkids and I believe that baby would cry if she was sick and a stranger woke her up.

OTOH, the teenager could pick her up and Lisa would probably go right to her, if she was used to seeing her, and being held by her.

If it was the teenager, I would have more hope that the baby is still alive.
