I know this is probably wishful thinking here but I do hope a letter or map or something is found in his home that indicates where her remains can be located.

I do realize that he probably would never leave anything in writing like that unless he knew he was dying and even then probably not.

I used to think that she was in the landfill but with him having attempted to show LE a burial spot on the side of the road at one point I am no longer so sure of anything in this case.

I hope LE is going through his home with a fine tooth comb, right down to every page in every book they find there. I wonder if he was familiar with the jail house codes that some prisoners use and their outside family and friends use. The ones where every so many words are skipped etc.

Lord Please, Let this child be located and given a proper burial. Amen.

Is there any concrete evidence that this girl is deceased - or are they going off the ramblings of Claude Davis? I just would like to know, please...if there is DNA evidence or other evidence that makes LE believe she is deceased. I signed up to this website because of this girl. One of my former neighbors would be approximately the same age that Andrea Gail Parsons would be today, if she were alive...and I cannot shake the fact that she is the exact mirror of this little girl in every way - except older. I've heard "all of us have a twin", yadda yadda, but this is worrisome. The age progression does look similar to her as well, but Andrea Gail Parsons has a very recognizable look to her that wouldn't go away with age. I should also mention that I am several states away from where this took place, and there is nothing to tell me that this woman is her, no clues or strange behavior from her, no signs of anything hinky in her life, etc.

Is there any way you can find a way to innocently ask to see some of her baby pictures?

I didn't think of that. I have not been in the area for 2 years (we've since moved), but I don't see how it would hurt anything to return for a "how are you?" visit...they are only about 20 minutes away. I will discuss with husband and update.

We decided to visit this former neighbor of ours tomorrow morning...will update.

Change of plans, it will be this evening, as a member of our household (the one with the car) just got called in to work.

Car (and driver) are back home and we are leaving now.

Consolidating for spammage:

This little one has a twin in my state, sadly...not her. She had baby pictures, toddler pictures, childhood pictures, teen pictures, etc and a yearbook. The resemblance is uncanny though, particularly when looking at her pictures from around the age Andrea was when she went missing...she was a bit taken aback herself.

I really was hoping for a very crazy miracle and that it would be her. :(

Price — who pleaded no contest in March 2014 to manslaughter and kidnapping — is scheduled to be released from the Dade Correctional Institution in November.

His sentence was for 10 years, but he earned a reduction through gain-time, a process that allows an inmate to reduce his or her sentence through positive behavior, program participation or positive work reports.

The plea deal was negotiated after Davis — once the prime suspect and later a key witness — died at the age of 76. Although a conviction at trial might have yielded a stiffer penalty for Price, Linda Parsons (Andrea's mother) said she had hoped 10 years would weigh on him long enough to disclose where Andrea’s remains are.

This is absolutely outrageous. About 3 years out of a 10 year sentence? The prosecutors should have made it a condition of his plea that he divulge the location of Andrea's remains.

Man who served time for manslaughter of 10-year-old Martin County girl in 1993 released from prison

"The News-Herald reports that after serving three years and five months of his 10-year sentence at the Dade Correctional Facility, Chester Duane Price was released Thursday."

...

"At the time of the sentencing, Andrea's mother, Linda Parsons, wrote a letter expressing her continued mourning and dissatisfaction Price would serve less than nine years in prison.

"The court system worked in your favor," she wrote in a letter to Price. "In a perfect world, you should have gotten the death penalty."

I am amazed this guy is already getting out of prison. Hopefully the Civil Commitment Center will keep him for a long, long time.

According to state prison records, Price was released to the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Arcadia, which provides counseling in the hopes of reintegrating offenders back into society without recidivism.
