Phoenix officer charged with murder has mixed past, prior problems

Chrisman allegedly pulled his pistol, put it against 29-year-old Danny Frank Rodriguez's head and told him he didn't need a warrant when Rodriguez ordered him out of his house on Oct. 5. During the next few minutes, Chrisman shocked Rodriguez with a stun gun, shot his pit bull, then fatally shot Rodriguez, according to a court document.

I just think it if was an acquittal, they would have come back by now. And they seem too friendly and close to be hung. That they wanted to come back today signals to me they are either close or they have a decision.

And IMO, for me, in either Virgillo's version or Chrisman's, which ever they choose to believe, Chrisman does not seem to be justified in shooting Daniel and he seems to be the one that escalated the situation in both versions. I hope they see it that way too in the end.

i hope today is the day,i am super sad from the rookie blue season finale and i need something good going on :sigh:

Where is Jewels? She's been MIA for 2 days now?

I'm drawing a blank on the charges....?
Criminal Code is Chapter 13 of Arizona Revised Statutes, so feel free to check it out while we wait. Don't know if Juan is looking for concurrent or consecutive sentencing. 13-702 is probably what he's looking at as far as Animal Cruelty.

:scared::scared::scared:

yes, prob. 702 but I don't know which class?

If the jurors are smart they will render a verdict in time for them to get out before rush hour. I hate sitting in rush hour traffic, personally.

Class 4 felony according to an article on opnateye about the 'no prison time' plea deal that was in progress back in April '13 (I'd link the article but not sure it's considered mainstream enough).

'Maricopa County judges will have the option of sentencing Chrisman to 12 months in county jail or up to 3.75 years in prison, pursuant to sentencing guidelines for a class 4 felony.'

And there's nothing quite like Friday afternoon rush hour, is there? :scared:

Second-degree murder is charged as a class 1 felony in Arizona and is typically punishable by 16 years in prison. If the offender has committed one prior felony, the typical sentence will be increased to 20 years; if they have been convicted of two prior felony offenses, the defendant can be sentenced to life imprisonment.

That link is about Chrisman.

I am here, I put myself in TO. I Don't want a wrong verdict like we got in the Levi Chavez trial. I got to invested in that one, so I thought if I distanced myself it would make it easier.

I know it will not help though. I am still waiting and watching and doing other things in the meantime. Just trying to stay busy.

I can understand that Jewels, glad you posted though, I was getting concerned.

Hey Jewels! I figured you were either on another case, or just needed some time away before the verdict. I am also worried about this one, don't know how I'm gonna get over a "not-guilty" if it happens. I really really don't know how I"m gonna stomach not-guilty.

I"ve been keeping busy with the Grant Hayes trial, see geevee over there every once in a while too....closings are coming up so should keep me busy until this verdict....
