If I had a large pool when my children were small, it would have been my greatest fear that they would slip out of the house and end up in the pool. A few years back I saw an advertisement for an alarm system. Anything, even as light as a leaf, that went into the pool an alarm would sound.

Such a tragedy about these little girls. Hopefully, it's a warning for other parents with small children and a pool.

From the article, it looks like they had a pool cover....that was retractable....and they think one of the girls hit the button and fell in =(

    How sad :(

In the article it said there were security cameras on the property and they think that will help them understand just how this happened. The parents also have a 9 month old baby. With 3 very young children I can see how a mother could get distracted and it only takes seconds for something terrible to happen.

I guess I was just trying to say that it seems as if they took every precaution and spared no expense for their kids' safety around the pool...and whoever manufactured the button is going to need to put a safety cover on it asap. =(

All my love to this family. Both of my boys are finally great swimmers...and it STILL frightens me for them to be around water.
