Beth discussing the judge's ruling, check fraud trial going forward on the 25th, etc.

If she is found guilty in the check fraud trial, it can be used against her in the murder case, but may not because if ever the fraud trial were reversed on appeal, and it had been relied on in the murder case that verdict could be in jeoprody. Very unlikely, she continues.

There is no evidence that he will come back either.. the only evidence at this point is the states assertion through motions that Mr. Lee said he would be back and almost a year later has not returned..

Maybe Lee agrees with the forensic's reports on this case.. There is about the same chance he does agree, than not...
 
Discussion of why defense wants the tapes erased and it is too dangerous to her case and to her life to visit with her parents and have it all released to the public.

Naticia Lance, producer for N.Grace show,: "They have not seen her since last October, they communicate with her in letters, they see her only at the hearings, they get pretty emotional there."

Mike Brooks, former FBI Special Agent In Charge:"I don't see how going there and just saying I love you could be dangerous.....I don't think her brother, he has been conspicously absent in the hearings" They could just avoid discussing the case!"

Lawyer on the panel:" I was troubled by the ruling" speaking about the attorney/client meetings being videotaped. I was surprised, it would have a chilling effect. I do not think she will be as forthcoming and they will not be. That is not good when you are trying to prepare a DEATH PENALTY case".

host: Isthe judge just not wanting to give any special treatment?

Mike: "Mr. Baez, this morning mentioned a glass the deputies can look through, and that he can hear clicking ....., as a former cop I can tell you I don't have a big issue with this!!! We have heard that this varies from county to county about the videotaping there. Matter for the state legislature."

Host: Repeating what Baez said this morning, that the case is very very complex and the defense team has decided to play this out in a court of law.

What happened in the 30 days?


Naticia: "The State says Casey was partying , not looking for baby, she got rid of her.
The defense recently pointing at Kronk, in the past they pointed at Jessse and others, but now Kronk"

Mike: " She was allegedly writing bad checks during this time!
The only reason this got reported is because Grandma went over and pulled Casey out of Tony's house.The Grandma reported the child missing.

Casey took police on wild goose chase,told one lie after another, after another to LE after another, they charged her on July 16th , after over a month when she was last seen at her mothers where allegedly there was a horrible fight, a full month earlier!

No one has bothered to look at the evidence SA has to date, so I would guess the experts can't put enough spin on the truth to fit the defense. JMO

Not only that, but IRCC he took pictures of the scene from afar and the defense made a stink about wanting to be included before it was determined it was Caylee and the judge shot that down but ruled the state to notify the defense when they were done and the state did and turned the crime scene over to the defense and it was a no show, right? I think on a media appearance or two and maybe in one of their filings; they stated the reason they didn't do an investigation was the crime scene was destroyed. If memory serves me this was the basis of one of the motions to dismiss the case by the defense. It was always precarious to me that they didn't fully avail themselves to that opportunity. It was as if they walked up, said well this is ruined we can't find anything now and walked away. If I had been on that team, I would have combed the site as thoroughly as the state did. Sometimes actions speak louder than words in the media!

IMHO, etc...
 
I think the cameras may be there for the potection of the jailers. If they should see a confrontation between an attorney and their client they can get in to stop the frey. If the cameras were absent the attorney could say no such confrontation happened and the jailers overreacted. The cameras are not there because of KC and JB they are there because my guess is in the past this was an issue.

I think JB wants them destroyed because of his behavior with KC and that may be the very reason they are in a room with the camera. She could later claim JB was inappropriate during those sessions and what proof would the jail have that JB was innocent. I'm sure the jailer are not watching them 100% of the time. As long as no one is studying these videos after the fact. That, I would think would be wrong and interference with her rights.

It's awfully disingenuous for JB to claim he doesn't want KC's case to be tried in the media when he fought a gag order and never filed for her right to a speedy trial. Not to mention all the media opportunities he has taken advantage of to talk about the case on national TV and to enjoy Geraldo's yacht. Also, he's been doing PR spots for so long now that he is starting to contradict what he said in the beginning.

And how old is that pic of LBK up on the monitor? It looks like it was taken 25 years ago.

I have always suspected that Dr Lee never received payment for his first visit (and is probably still awaiting it) since it is during this same time frame that DC was hired, but shortly thereafter cancelled the contract due to non-payment (and filed complaint with BAR concerning such).

So looks like a money issue for me all around...

Dr Lee said on Nancy Grace that he did it pro bono.

I am trying to find out if he came back and observed an autopsy. Does anyone know?

Forgive me for not remembering the guys' name, but IIRC, a forensic pathologist from Michigan came to conduct the autopsy shortly after Christmas last year. His son was on NG I believe. I wouldn't know if HL also attended, but the son - who is also in the same field, indicated his dad had flown in and out within a day or so. From what I understand, Lee is a dna specialist and crime reconstruction analyst. I'm not sure he would have been the foremost person to look at the autopsy photos or analyze the remains. But I imagine one of our resident SME's will help straighten me out if I got that wrong! Meantime, I'll try to find the Dr's name who did view Caylee's remains for the defense.

IIRC, no one from the defense team "observed the autopsy" because at the time of the autopsy they weren't sure it was Caylee.
