Kyron's parents not scheduled to speak this week, noting "heavy law enforcement obligations"
Last Update: 6:47 am

Our focus continues to be fully on the investigation and finding Kyron. All indications are that law enforcement obligations will be heavy in the coming week. As a result, we are sorry that we cannot schedule any media meetings. We really apologize for the change but, as always, our priority is keeping our energy and available time focused on the search and both of those things will be in short supply this week. We will keep you updated immediately on any changes. If any breaking events do come up we will schedule a Q&A or interview session accordingly. Thanks for your understanding. We are currently planning on holding sessions the following week (July 19th and July 22nd) as events progress.

Article also has info on the truck tipster:

“Chas” said he has called the tip line twice, but hadn’t heard back. He was concerned other people’s tips, like his, were not checked on.

Chas said he saw Terri Horman the day Kyron mysteriously vanished.

W. Va. Police Follow Up On Kyron Horman Tip

Sgt. John Garten, of the Charleston Police Department, said officers were able to determine that the child wasn't Kyron. He said the person who made the call had watched a story about the boy on the news and then saw a boy with a similar physical description at Auto Zone in west Charleston.

Garten said the boy did in fact look similar to Kyron.

Terri Horman agrees to leave house
Updated today at 12:18 PM

Kyron's stepmother Terri Moulton Horman will not challenge a request to move out of the former family home, a letter from her lawyer read Monday.

The boy's father Kaine Horman had added a clause to a restraining order that she leave the home last week. A July 22 scheduled hearing in the case was cancelled, according to the court.

Kyron Horman's stepmom won't contest her husband's push to have her leave their home
Published: Monday, July 12, 2010, 12:35 PM
Updated: Monday, July 12, 2010, 1:02 PM

A judge had set a show-cause hearing for July 22 on Kaine Horman's request to kick his wife out of their home, but Stephen Houze, Horman's criminal defense attorney, filed a letter with the court today saying the hearing would not be necessary, according to court records.

In his letter, Houze said Terri Horman would not be contesting any of the matters before the court, including a restraining order that prevents her from any parenting time with her daughter.

Kyron's Father Wants Stepmom Held In Contempt
POSTED: 3:04 pm PDT July 12, 2010
UPDATED: 3:38 pm PDT July 12, 2010

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The father of Kyron Horman accused his wife of sharing a sealed restraining order and having an affair with a man he's known since high school, according to court documents.

The records released Monday ask Terri Horman to appear in court to defend herself against the claims she violated a restraining order filed by Kaine Horman last month.

"As set forth in more detail below, Petitioner (Kaine Horman) has learned that Respondent (Terri Horman) gave an unauthorized party(ies) access to the documents and/or information in the court file. Petitioner is unaware of the extend of who else is aware of the contents of the court file," wrote Laura Rackner, Kaine Horman's lawyer, in the court documents.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Criminal defense lawyer Russell Barnett believes Terri Moulton Horman’s decision to not fight the restraining order that stops her from seeing her young daughter is strategy.

“This is sort of high-stakes poker,” he said. “Once you go to a hearing, then you have to testify under oath. You have to disclose more than—in this case to be fair—more than her attorney is comfortable with.”

and snip:

"If I found one of my clients told someone to lie to me, I’d get rid of them. You just don’t need the hassle because it’s going to be one of the indicators of things in the future,” he said."
