Sources Say Jury’s still out on Kyron case
The Portland Tribune, Aug 5, 2010

Everyone following the Kyron Horman case got excited when they learned Terri Horman’s friend DeDe Spicher of Tualatin was called before a Multnomah County grand jury on Monday, July 26. That does not mean an indictment is imminent, however. At least once before, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office used a grand jury to gather information on a similar case that wasn’t resolved for years.

Tipsters in Kyron case wonder if they’re being heard
KATU Story Updated: Aug 5, 2010 at 1:43 AM PDT

Tips keep coming into the tip line reserved for missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman. Investigators have now received more than 3,500 tips, but some people are wondering whether authorities ever followed up on theirs.

Even two months after Kyron’s disappearance, five to 10 calls come into the tip line every hour but some tipsters like Joanna Robbins say no one ever called her back to follow up.

There is also some info about the Grand Jury in this article.:

Meanwhile, for a third day, a Multnomah County grand jury in Portland heard from witnesses about Kyron’s disappearance.

Sources, including one who has spoken with investigators, told KGW that at least two friends of Terri's purchased cell phones for her in the days after Kyron’s disappearance.
Investigators were calling those friends and others in front of the grand jury for sworn statements on what they did and why they did it.
Investigators were also still working to pin down the exact movements of Terri Horman on the day her stepson disappeared, as well as on the exact movements of her friend, DeDe Spicer.
Some of the testimony was expected to focus on people who saw and dealt with the women on the day Kyron vanished.

The grand jury is expected to run, at least, through next week. Presiding Judge Jean Kerr Maurer issued an order through Aug. 11 restricting any audio or visual recording of witnesses coming or going from the grand jury room.

At least three more friends of Kyron Horman’s stepmother, Terri Horman, were called before a grand jury Thursday to testify in the disappearance of the 7-year-old boy.

One of those friends was Chelsea Aleshire. She spent an hour and a half upstairs with jurors and a prosecutor working on the Kyron Horman case.

Among others who testified about Terri Horman were two friends who attended birthday parties and other Horman social functions.

Also, one woman said that Terri had at some point come into her place of business.
