I don't know Beatrice. If you did 6 degrees of separation, I could be the perp. I'm not meaning that as a dig, I just think that you could link lots of us in Portland to different areas on a map. The guy that was found Friday night was near a large homeless population. If I had to say one of these men is related to Kyron's crime, I'd say the man found up on Skyline but not the other two! If you could connect him more directly to TMH, then I would thoroughly be convinced. JMO of course!

My partner lives very close to this location, and I know there is a big, heavily treed park there where homeless adults often hang out/sleep/party, etc.

You are probably thinking of Overlook Park which is not too far from there. It is also very near the railroad tracks and the lightrail, and also very near areas of high crime and drugs. I just don't see any connection at all.

The description sounds like a non-violent death. He was found near a bicycle with no outward signs of trauma. Natural causes, perhaps?

ETA Examples: heart attack, violent fall, stroke, seizure?

Actually, I had another thought about one of those addresses for Mr Richarte. Can anyone remember a Beaverton Apartment address for DDS? I thought she had an address in the Cedar Hills area? By the way, when it says Cedar Hills, 97005 it's really Beaverton.

Quoting myself here. Okay, I found what I was searching for. It was in the infamous letter from JW to the Oregonian about DDS. In it he talks about DD having an apartment off Cedar Hills Blvd but sounds like a very long time ago so probably nothing.

I think there was one North Portland body find and Fox12with the early report is incorrect. I think it was one guy, found at Greeley & Jessup. which is actually not near Overlook Park or the intersection where the homeless camps are.

PS: the crime isn't that bad around Overlook park?

The first story I heard was the that he was found near the intersection of Greeley and Interstate. Overlook Park is right up the street from there. And there is still quite a bit of crime and drug dealing near the east side of the Fremont Bridge, yes, right in that area. But it is getting better with the gentrification of N. Mississippi.

Thanks Beatrice and that is spooky for sure. I don't think it happens very often. And of course we don't know if the ME found something telling either. That happens all the time.

He was identified as Matt Kirk. I don't think we have heard the cause of death yet. We may not ever.

Probably had a stroke or heart attack then. Just bad luck.

They find so many bodies in the area, I can't keep up. Latest one, found yesterday, has been in the water a long time, they don't know the gender, and they don't say adult or child, and it was located near where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean (about 100 miles from Sauvie Island). Where I live it is very rare to find a body. :banghead:

Also note that when I stopped to take a picture of the powerlines (looking more north but standing on Moreland Rd) and north of where search tape was seen, you could see the doppler radar tower in distance (location of March SAR Base)

UPDATE-
On 04/03/11, stopped on Moreland Rd where we saw search tape, as something in the woods caught my eye..

Turns out that:
This is on Moreland Rd, appx 2 miles down Moreland from the intersection of Skyline & Moreland Rd. Search tape seen all around this area. This area and area across from here had search tape in a grid like pattern.

This is a memorial for Juanita Rosales-Garcia who's body was found here April 2009, she was reported missing by DELFINO HURTADO-NAVARETTE whom she lived with. He has since been charged with murder.

I doubt it is related but it was very interesting they searched here and that this was a location in the search area where a body had been placed (2009)
