    God bless him and may he rest in peace. I didn't know they would allow someone to re-enlist at that age.

    Rest in Peace Major. To his family, know that we are grateful for his service and the ultimate sacrifice paid by not only him but you his family too.

    Note to lizzybeth: I'm thinking he must have been a reserves element attached to 1st Infantry Div.

    This is a huge loss for his peers, soldiers that may have one time or another been under his command, and those that worked with him and for him over the years.
