BREAKING NEWS: #JodiArias judge denies mistrial motion, excuses juror No.5. #Arias def filed request Monday
Isn't katiecoo going to court this afternoon?
She said she would go just for the last hour today--she wrote this in the prior thread.
Hopefully Juan will be up by then, but...not holding my breath...I mean, they haven't got to the pedophile incident yet!
Can someone tell me why the extra 'smilies' don't show up when I click on them? THX
I feel really badly for Juror #5. No matter what she said it's humiliating to be "fired" from being a juror. I would hope the media won't find her right away.
It's much better for them to dismiss her than to cause a mistrial or give grounds for an appeal. Still again I feel for her.
I have one more appt. then headed right up there. I'll be there for after the pm break. Short but something. I'll also get to hang out w/ KatieDDJ for a bit after court/before visiting hours (yes my brother's still in the hospital). I'll see what scoop I can get. But more than anything I'm going down there to pass these gifts/cards I've received off to Travis' family. I suspect today is a good day to receive that kind of kindness/thoughtfulness/generosity.
Not a chance. This 'expert' will be on the stand the rest of today and probably all day tomorrow as well. It wouldn't surprise me if they were still on direct with her on Thursday. I'm not watching or listening. What she has to say doesn't pertain to what happened in this case and I don't need more soy filler in my life.
I think she should shine on the media (as much as I want to hear from her) and get all her notes together and start a book. Make her time served worthwhile.
HLN just reported that Travis's family looked "devastated" when they came out of chambers from the mistrial hearing. Nurmi, Wilmot and Arias followed with smiles on their faces.
I hope they find her tonight and she tells us her side of the story.
Just wondering, does she get to keep her notes? Maybe property of the State?
I was a juror last summer (in Texas though) and we definitely could not keep our notes.
I was on a jury several years ago. We couldn't take our notes after case decided.
Unless AZ has some law of which I am unaware - NO.
I would like her to get to tell her side of the story. But when she's ready. Not just so the media can get a scoop.
From my jury experience, we were told our notes would be destroyed that night (after the verdict)
