The defense is calling Doug Carter as a witness? Any thoughts on that?!

Regarding the 120 defense witnesses.
Richard Allen has The right to a defense and it is a fundamental right in the United States Constitution.
He is presumed innocent in a court of law until proven guilty, the penalty of the charges brought against him if found guilty would amount to the rest of his life in prison.
He has a right to put on a defense and call as many witnesses as he would like.

I will guess finding a nude child, a redressed child and missing underwear would probably equal sexual motivation?Just because the state says it was a sexually motivated, whether or not it took place, does not make it so. Can’t wait to see how they prove that. JMO
100000%, I get this same exact feeling. I do hope that if they do end up calling MP, they do any questioning in the most respectful manner. At this point I don't care who wins points, the emotional damage to the families from having to be grilled for something that happened TO them, crosses a line for me.IANAL, but I get the impression the defense team is trying to intimidate some prosecution witnesses by calling them. They may also try to impugn their credibility. Make their testimony seem less reliable.
JMO, it could backfire for the defense. Doesn't seem like a good idea.
BTW, witnesses don't have a choice about whether they want to testify for the defense or prosecution. If they're called, they have to do it. If they're prosecution witnesses, testifying for the defense doesn't mean they agree with them. They may not have a choice.
So well put.**Apologies - Graphic**
Not all sexual assault leaves traces that would be observable to a medical examiner. Sexual assault could be fondling/groping as well, and sexual assault of that kind isn't likely to leave evidence behind. The fact that the girl's were made to undress is unfortunately indicative that they suffered sexual assault before they were murdered. JMO.
Making family members testify would really backfire on the defense team, JMO. Perhaps they just want to have them on the witness list to imply something. That also may not win points with the jury.100000%, I get this same exact feeling. I do hope that if they do end up calling MP, they do any questioning in the most respectful manner. What’s the significance of the color green?Several jurors have been dismissed, including a prospective juror who claimed to have psychic abilities. Another juror was dismissed after telling the court he didn’t “like the color green.
Agreed, I would hope the prosecution can back up a sadistic sexual murderer with some sort of evidence, possibly in RA’s past or internet search history? Although we haven’t heard anything of that sort yet.Just because the state says it was a sexually motivated, whether or not it took place, does not make it so. Can’t wait to see how they prove that. He might confess again, though. The D can't take any chances.oh no not even close and then they put the defendant on the stand and he did horribly and made it so very easy for the jury. All they had to do was decide if they believed him and his story was not believable.
I don't think there is any chance that RA will take the stand in this case, but I wish he would.
My best guess is color psychology. What’s the significance of the color green?
Those with Green color personality strengths tend to be perfectionistic, analytical, conceptual, cool, calm, inventive and logical. They seek knowledge and understanding as well as always looking for explanations and answers.
Greens can be good researchers – looking for facts and asking lots of questions. Greens have a large vocabulary and can argue both sides of an issue. Often, Greens take the time to concentrate and give correct answers. Greens like mind games that challenge their thinking.
I agree with you, although this doesn’t get around the girls not being shot.**Apologies - Graphic**

Well I do like Green, but I love Pink.. wonder what that says about me? I am not even sure how things got green on my emblem.. I am guessing the J is for Just Trish, but the green.. is that random? I don't think I picked it.He might confess again, though. The D can't take any chances.
And @justtrish , it hasn't escaped everyone's notice that your little emblem there showing it's you posting-- you know, it's very bright green. And I don't like it. And I'm not alone in that sentiment.
Just putting that out there. (@Melted, you too may want to take note of this.)
Probably blowing smoke AND exaggerating.I know, it was just a figure of speech. I can't figure out where the defense accumulated so many witnesses. Is it possible they're blowing smoke or exaggerating? They have a history.
It made me cry. It was heart wrenching.I am not sure if we are allowed to share the family's SM public messages, but if you are following BP, she posted the most heartwrenching, gorgeous words regarding her feelings and concerns and hopes, regarding the start of the trial.
I don't know how anyone will make it through a single day with their eyes dry.
I wish the families strength, and that they feel the glow of the so so so much love and support from their communities and all of us, the countless strangers online who wish for their torment to soften.
Justice for Abby and Libby; we keep saying these words, and yet they never lose their meaning for me.

Welcome Back. Missed you!Exactly! And after ready the affidavit again, there is no getting around that he #1 never let anyone touch his guns and #2 that he had no explanation as to why a round cycled through his firearm would be at that location.
Exactly like they’d better have a darn good reason for calling him and any other family members on their list.
