Just guessing....

The two teens not getting shot, I believe, comes back to the unspent round they found next to them.

MOO is, he had every intention of killing one teen with his firearm. Eliminate her.

He picked the one he wanted and used her death as coercive control over the other one...again MOO.

However, I wonder if the firearm malfunctioned sending the unspent round shooting out onto the ground. Could it have jammed after that?

Maybe that's when the blade came out.

Just because the state says it was a sexually motivated, whether or not it took place, does not make it so. Can’t wait to see how they prove that. JMO
Maybe because their clothes were off?

And it wasn't robbery, they had nothing to steal.

What else could be the motive for a stranger to kidnap 2 young girls, who are stripped and stabbed to death?

I think this is very plausible. Alternatively, 'getting interrupted' could mean he heard a person, saw a person in the distance, panicked and went for the more 'quiet' murder weapon.

As for RA telling an inmate he shot the girls... Personally, I believe it was a case of misunderstanding but... have we considered shame? Or even fear. In RA's mind, maybe he reasoned that 'just shooting' the girls was better than what he actually did. So if he was scared of prison justice, maybe he said something like 'I just shot them, in the back' (they never saw it coming, look, I am not a monster!!)

That's all MOO

As for "all of his lies" that the defence is promoting...well he wouldn't be the first to kill someone then lie how he did it. I mean how many lies did Leticia Stauch tell about Gannon? So many I can't count them....

Am I missing something or are Libby’s grandparents witnesses for opposite sides of this trial?

Edit: not to judge. I feel so much for all of them, they and we are all team Abby and Libby. Just trying to understand.
They are not 'choosing' whose witness list they end up on. The grandfather's name appears to be on the defense list---but they may have subpoenaed him to testify, without him wanting to.He will be treated as a 'hostile' witness most likely.

The defense is taking a big risk calling a victim family member to the stand. I hope it backfires on them.

Yeah, I lost count of versions, too. She's another good example of a sadistic child killer using false but extremely cruel versions of the crime to cause distress and harm to to listener. I don't think anyone who sat through her phonecalls to AS could come away with any other impression but that she was torturing him.

Tl;dr, sometimes real killers tell lies about how a crime happened. It doesn't mean they didn't do it.

MOO

YES, the same with Chris Watts. [ufgh, can't even type his name yuck]

He told all kinds of lies during his various confessions. Lots of alternative scenarios were told to various people.

Also, Jodi Arias told many lies during her various confessions. Only consistent truth was she did kill her boyfriend.

And Casey Anthony---another liar, who confessed many times but with different versions of the horrible event.

JUST BECAUSE KILLERS LIE THAT DOES NOT MAKE THEM INNOCENT OF THEIR CRIMES

Here's the actual details behind the two of the "head turner" potential jurors from today. Nothing at all to do with colour psychology (unless you personally hate green as applied to others'/witness' dress code):

On the "Psychic" - (5 minute 43 seconds):
A man piped up before the attorneys even got to him and said, "Your honour I've got to tell you I'm a psychic and as a psychic I'm very tuned into the vibrations and the emotions in this courtroom and I can read this courtroom and I've got to tell you that I've already made up my mind and I would be a great asset to the prosecution if I were to serve on this jury".

On the "Colour Green" - (6 minutes 10 seconds):
One person said that they "didn't like the colour green and that they wouldn't trust a witness who wore the colour green".

Uhhhm yeah, buh bye. Wowzers.

Thank you so much for sharing!

All I can say is Wowzers, if I ever become an American citizen (unlikely) I know just how to get out of jury duty now.

Maybe that's when the blade came out.
Maybe more than one action was "interrupted" that day.

From the first ten minutes of the MS podcast

- MS is going to be contributing articles to a Franklin County newspaper throughout the trial
- They did not have press passes, they attended as members of the public
- Alluded at problematic relationships between Allan County court (JG) and traditional media who are struggling to get access, they are going to report in detail on this in upcoming episodes
- RA seemed 'the most normal' they have ever seen him
- His family and a lot of the girls' families were absent, to their knowledge
- This means nothing according to them, since Jury selection is not necessarily going to mean much for the layperson

I agree with you, although this doesn’t get around the girls not being shot.

IMO
Look at any list of known killers who confessed to their crimes---and I bet many of them have told various conflicting stories about their crimes.

Recently I can think of a few who did that repeatedly. Jodi Arias, Chris Watts, Leticia Stauch, Casey Anthony.

All of the above began confessing to various people but with different facts at various times, to various people.

That does not mean they were innocent of the murders, just means they are liars and manipulators. LE had to rely upon the forensic evidence to get the true story of their murders.

Lol...Sounds to me that both of them just really wanted to escape this jury duty situation. Can't blame them. Pretty creative ways of doing so.

It very well may be true that the green color juror was removed for being, uh, odd. But how, in your estimation, did the juror's feeling on the color green even come up in questioning?

No freaking way.
The psychic guy outburst has to be one of the best lines of babble ever given to get oneself out of jury duty.

I wonder what the jury is going to think when they hear the other 60+ confessions that the Defence isn't focussing on? Especially if, as testified, some with details only the killer would know. Especially too, the recorded ones coming from his own mouth.

We're about to find out.
