Jury! Well done! They got it right and took their time cos wanted to be absolutely sure, is my guess. Time line was so very important. I just cannot respect this jury enough.

Someone on previous thread made a comment about sentencing and their wish list and it's on mine too; please RA, give your attorneys the *** and apologise to the families of AW and LG at sentencing, confess your guilt outright for the sake of these beautiful children's families and for your own sake. Jmo

Thanks to all the wonderful WS members here for welcoming a relative newbie to the Delphi thread for this trial. Admire all you lovely people who have been supporting each other, the victims and their grieving families and true justice for so long. I believe 100% that justice was served today.

And once more; dear, dear jury members. Your service was hard and exacting. You'll never know how proud I am and I'm sure many, many others. Respect to you all.

Last thread closed.. you noted there may have been a different outcome, had the alternate suspects been allowed. I truly believe had Odinism been introduced, the jury would have reached the same conclusion, only more quickly. The ritual angle was ludicrous, especially when compared to the much more likely motive of sexual assault.

jmo
For sure!

Zero other Odin ritual killings EVER..
Rope used to hang the girls up was actually police rope.
No blood at the scene so it must have happened elsewhere or their blood was drained out.. false.. blood was all over the crime scene and they died right there where they were found.
Runes? Or a dying child's bloody hand.

I'm going to guess that those jurors are not the type to buy into conspiracies. Not the fake moon landing.. and certainly not the first Odin ritual sacrifice killing of 2 teenagers to be explained by an expert that suggests she knows that because the murder was outside near the water and you know the magical thinking.

This is so true. In my opinion, the outrageous claims made throughout this case, and during this trial, did nothing to serve justice. There is much to be learned from a study of the social media impact on investigations, and I would think those in all aspects of LE, and the legal profession, would benefit from analyzing the pros and cons of tactics, techniques, and strategies.
Did the defense even mention the girls being taken somewhere else and brought back during their closing? That was the claim they made during opening and then nothing presented at the trial even suggested that was possible based on the evidence. Did the circle back to that or did that just go away to be replaced by poor RA was tortured like they did in the old days so if you don't like that, then he must be not guilty.

If you find yourself trying to decide whose recap to listen to, I can't recommend this one enough. One hour. It's honest, unvarnished, emotional, lays blame where blame is due, gives credit where credit is due, gives both a broad view and an inside one.

We can finally say, without reservation or apology, RA is behind bars where he belongs. Convicted.

These two for me as well. Moo.

<modsnip: There are many, many nice people who live in Delphi>
I remember Colts kicker Pat Mcafee’s name was thrown around as a suspect in some parts (no, I am not kidding). Maybe they can use that one next?

What seems like celebration among many of us today is strictly because our fears of a miscarriage of justice have been alleviated.

We are not cheering as though it was a game-winning touchdown and our “side” won.

We aren’t here to be right or wrong. I think everyone here, newbies or old-timers, wanted to see the murderer of Abby and Libby receive his just punishment, and thereby assuage some of the agony for the German and Williams families.

Personally, I’d be much happier had I never heard of Abby and Libby because they’d never been murdered. That isn’t what unfolded for them, tragically, so what was left was identifying the murderer (DONE) and locking him up where he can no longer harm anyone (DONE).

It seemed obvious to many of us that RA was BG, based on the totality of evidence. Therefore I am rejoicing because there is no longer a debatable (in some opinions) Bridge Guy.

There is only Richard Allen.

NOT just my opinion but a fact of law now.

GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS PER THE CROWD & OTHERS DEPARTING THE COURT

Btw, that was Barbara McDonald at 35:00 walking out with a smirk on her face and a notepad that had Guilty on all counts. I seen a closer view on another live.

I watched her almost nightly on Court TV and the excuses Bob Motta and she would make for the defense and RA were cringe worthy.

Today, is about closure, for the families. The hugs and the tears.

I will keep visiting the threads. Waiting for the sentencing, hoping the families get the chance to read their victim impact statements if they wish to do so.

Tomorrow, and every day after...
It is for questions.
I have so many questions, because I believe that there is something rotten with the landscape of the SMS, more so than the usual. What is the legality and ethics of the Due Process Gang and their bizarre relationship with Defence, Sleuths and YTers? I believe that we are overdue regulations, when it comes to ppl claiming positions of authority as legal professionals (when they are no longer even practising but making their money from Lives instead).

I have so many questions re: the duty of D. Yes, they should be fighting IN COURT for their clients interests. Does this extend to PR? To the online realm? Why? Why not?

I have a theory. I believe that RA wanted to plead, and the DT decided it was not in his best interest. I believe it was the wrong decision. I believe RA's life and that of his family's will be negatively affected by the gamble of the DT. I believe that a good D should realistically communicate the chances of their client to them and their families, instead of urging them to fight the charges no matter what.

All that... for tomorrow.

For now, grateful that we have Justice for Abby and Libby.

Agree with your theory.

Once he is sentenced and officially becomes an inmate and prisoner of the Indiana Department of Corrections, RA is going to be begging for the pre-conviction levels of protection and months of solitary confinement his defense team thought were so horrible. Prison inmates have a social hierarchy. And men who have been convicted of the sexual assault and murder of children are the lowest of low.
True!!
I have friends who are Correction Officers in one of our world's largest prisons at one time.
With Federal and state cutbacks, it is Now one of largest in our state instead of the country/world.

What RA had while being held for safety reasons is a one-off --
most do not get the extras that he got.
Basically, he was protected and a bit spoiled but I honestly understand why because of the reason he was there.

Now he will not be--- and men who commit SA and murder against young girls/children are the lowest of scum inside the walls.

His D-team will not be able to help him there.

I am Ok with that.

He rendered Libby and Abby defenseless and wanted control of 2 innocent young teenagers.

JMO

I believe the motive was prob. SA, but RA was interrupted ?
Omo.
I believe once he had them take their clothes off things did not work as he expected and it enraged him the van drove by he made them cross the creek and we know the rest. No way could he let them live and tell the tale of his failed SA attempt.JMOO
