Richard Allen really had me going with his denials and confessions. The jury convicted him so they think he is the killer. I thought he might be innocent, but the van confession detail and the testimony from the man in the van is hard to overcome. This case left me with a lot of doubt. I was thinking about the van confession detail that only the killer would know when I started to realize that many movies that involve abducting kids usually include a van as the vehicle.

Some people who were in the courtroom and got to listen to Richard Allen's voice think it could be the same voice as bridge guy. I still look at the bridge guy video from Liberty German's phone and try to see Richard Allen's face. I still cannot see it.

I think she was answering the comment regarding what RA had in his one man cell and stating that he will have access to all those things in gen pop too.

I agree, in the 1MC he was in, he had a tablet which he could use to contact (approved) people, he had a TV and the right to have time for exercise etc... He will have those too in general population. Difference now I believe, as I believe that he was given some 'special treatment' before, is that he will have to pay for the tablet, communication and tv from his commissary. I believe that in some places too, it's not unusual for an inmate to have a cell to themselves if there's no overcrowding. The main difference will be that he is as it says, in general population... therefore surrounded by other inmates. Whilst it's not entirely common for inmates to target CSA'ers, as most just want to do their time and get on with it without having more time added to their books, I believe his attitude, behaviour and notoriety will be his downfall in regards to the other inmates and I can't see him making many friends as opposed to enemies personally.
Also a big change coming for Richard Allen in personal interaction with his family.

No more multi-hour visits with his family in a private room (how'd he pull that off while supposedly in solitary being tortured??). Now, they'll have to follow scheduled visitation periods and make use of the cubicle glass divider to reach out and not quite touch someone. Oh well.

A video that's so blurry that you can't even recognise their face, and looks like 50% of the guys in Delphi, it could have been anyone. There's no GPS or phone data putting him on that bridge, none at all.

Helpfully, Richard Allen himself told us he was there, at that time, and that he was dressed this way.

It is he who put himself in the spotlight.

The lack of phone data, as others here have mentioned, was incriminating because his “alibi” was that though he was there, he was on his phone looking at the stock ticker and the fish.
So he himself erased this semblance of an alibi since his phone was not located there, as you yourself state.

There has been a lot of evidence proving that he is the killer.

If you choose to do so, there are untold thousands of posts in 216 threads discussing all this, particularly in the last two years since Allen was arrested.

He did capture and kill Abby and Libby. Thankfully Libby captured him too, as best she could in her last minutes of life.

Jmo but really not, as he has legally been found guilty.

Somebody here did a great face side by side with the same looking down expression.
The timeline of the witnesses and RA - verified by pictures taken, cars on video, etc, leaves no room for BG to be anybody but RA. If you watch Gray Hughes Verdict Watch at 3:21 it makes it so clear.
Brian Harshman, an ISP master trooper who monitored over 700 hours of RA calls, says it's the voice of BG.

His face doesn't need to be visible to ID him either. The witnesses triangulate and corroborate his own self-reported timeline.

Libby captured a lone male, inclusive of RA, who was coming up rapidly behind them, on the end of the bridge with the road below, captured their fear, captured the abduction, including the impression and sound of a gun, all elements that aligned with discovery at the final crime scene.

Goes without saying, of the witnesses who identified a single, jacketed man, there were no living witnesses who could alibi that single, jacketed man anywhere on the trail between 2:14 and 3:57.

Three people disappeared DTH and only one emerged alive. Richard Allen, covered in the very lifeblood of two little girls, walked away like it never happened.

No second location, no multiple perps, no 5 o'clock headphones, no 4:33am return.

Libby's phone, the 8th witness.

The multiple confessions were strange, but if you lived a normal life for years and then were put in solitary confinement you could see how it would play with your head. He couldn't have been that sane if he ate his own feces. It's been known in the past that many people confess to crimes that they've never done due to many reasons. I don't have enough facts to comment about it but I hope more comes out about the case.

He's never been convicted for any type of SA and reached mid life, don't you find that's a bit odd? I can understand how people had gotten away with it in the 90's, but with the digital data these days and DNA detection it makes it very difficult and a typical hallmark for these types of crimes is that the perpetrators work themselves up to these type of horrendous crimes.

I personally think they need to find more direct evidence to link him to the crime. For the sake of the children and the families involved, I hope it was it was him and him alone but if not the wrong people are still out there.
The Jury found evidence to link him to the crime. And they have spoken.
And for the sake of the children and the families involved, they nailed it.

One thing that I think tends to get overlooked is that it was a warm day. Abby and Libby were both dressed in hoodies. Yes, RA had on pretty typical clothes for the area, but not for the day. He was wearing a hoodie and a Carhart coat and IIRC, he even had a scarf. He had been out and about that day so knew it was nice out yet stopped to get more clothing on. It's not just WHAT he was wearing but that he was overdressed for the weather. It made him stand out. JMO

After jurors saw video pulled from Libby German’s phone showing the infamous “Bridge Guy,” several witnesses took the stand who were out walking the trails and crossing the High Bridge on the day the girls vanished.

Railly Voorhies was a 16-year-old Delphi high school student back in 2017 when she was out walking near the Freedom Bridge. She described seeing an “unsettling” man near the bridge who glared at her. She did not recognize the man and said he wore a mask up to his nose.

When shown a blown-up photograph of “Bridge Guy,” Voorhies said “that was the man I saw on the trail.”

GOOD. Abbey and Libby’s families can’t reach out and touch their children.

Amateur opinion and speculation

I used to Say Richard Allen is Bridge guy. Now we can all say Richard Allen is the man that Libby filmed. Without Libby Filming Richard Allen this case never would have been solved. Richard Allen tipped himself in Because he saw his Image the Day before in the news. #delphi #richardallen #guilty

I guess the tldr version of what I am saying is the defence didn't call any expert to show why the geofence map should be admissible at trial, or what testimony about it should be allowed.

Is the reason tactical? In other words, the existence of the young couple on the bridge with phones in the geofence serves to highlight that RA's phone isn't there but should be?

MOO
I think so.
It also places additional witnesses there who never saw RA exit the bridge.

In some ways, Allen reminds me of Dennis Rader - BTK. People who blend into the crowd, no prior record of violence or sexual assault, fixation on sick fantasy life, methodical, able to compartmentalize and hide their alter-ego from family and friends for years at a time. There are some differences, but they have those traits in common. Not every monster looks and behaves like one.

If his defense team doesn't bring it up on appeal, then I think they are incompetent (which is another possible appeal).
It is my understanding that RA cannot file an appeal on ineffective counsel since he chose to have R&B reinstated during the SCOIN oral arguments, even over the claims of Judge Gull.

Amazing though, how these supposed brilliant defense attorneys, fawned over like rock stars, are now being accused of being incompetent.

Exactly - his supporters are so transparent it’s ridiculous. They are willing to blame everybody bar Richard the killer.

The defense have been treated like the Second Coming but now they have lost suddenly they are the scapegoat.

You can’t make this up :D

Leaving Delphi today with these two brave girls forever in my heart. Libby filmed and Abby helped keep the phone safe. These two alone solved their own murder. Rest in peace Libby and Abby. I will keep working hard in your memory—following truth wherever it leads.
