I read the article, and find it difficult to reconcile any mother bringing her 9 year old daughter to prison to visit DM. She states that he is a "great father", and she plans on taking their daughter to visit DM in prison.

I wonder if that will change once she goes to visit.

Ironic that if so many hadn't been involved in covering-up, arguably, he'd have been caught sooner in the noughties and wouldn't now be serving a life sentence under Calif One Strike ( as well as, arguably, preventing further offences in later years)

So much of DM's 'downfall'- and the fall-out amongst his circles - seem self-inflicted to me.

Oh, absolutely! I wasn't talking about DM, though if he ever gets out, he will have to be allowed to support himself somehow. I have no objection to DM's sentence and if the COS can be punished in some way, even better!

I was thinking of AK and, especially, MK. Ending their careers FOREVER because they felt obliged to write a pro forma letter in support of a longtime friend seems overly harsh to me. (There may be other things for which AK needs to answer, but we can't really talk about it until it is reported by MSM.)

Of course, everybody has the right to spend their entertainment dollars as they prefer. Myself, I rarely watch Woody Allen or Mel Gibson movies any more. But I'm not insisting they be prevented from working.

I haven't actually seen anyone say that AK or MK should terminate their careers but I'll look out for it.

I also don't expect any of the producers involved to feel any further heat despite items such as the link I posted on the previous page. Not expecting any investigation from Netflix either. Three pages back a poster lumped DM, AK and MK together and said they all deserved to be canceled "forever". It was to that post I was replying. (I disagree in re AK and MK, but of course that poster has a right to a different opinion.)

Sounds like you know better than I just what was reported and when. I don't know what the HuffPo has revealed (or even if it counts as MSM here). I was just trying to be careful: I watch a lot of YouTube and have to remind myself that most videos there are not considered legitimate sources here at WS.

ETA1: Maybe I should confess I don't know if I will ever be able to enjoy THAT 70's SHOW again. I used to be very much a fan.

ETA2: I just reread our posts and realized you meant "got me" as in you understand my point. I had previously read it as you "one-upped" me and I was happy to take your word for it. In case it isn't obvious, I really like your posts, Cottonwood. I know you and I aren't personal friends in real life.

And Netflix didn't even fire DM until this story at Huffpo came out. He was fired the very next day.

Victim B told HuffPost she never expected Yeatman to say such a thing and was left stunned. She said she then told him, “I’m one of them,” indicating she was one of Masterson’s accusers.

The conversation ended quickly.

I know you were joking, but my lawyer (a close friend) tells me such letters are almost never taken at face value. Judges assume that almost everyone has relatives or friends who will say nice things about him or her.
