I watch lockup! often times there will be a lockup marathon on all weekend lol I think ive seen many of the episodes more than once.

often times it is infuriating looking into the cells of these lifers...many have TV, stereos, a stocked pantry of junk food, full gym, social time w/ others and then some! another reason I don't want Jodi getting LWOP!

I totally agree with you. In spite of what a lowlife Jodi is, it is not a joyous occasion. If the crowd had been personal friends of Travis, I would hardly fault them for feeling the need to cheer. This crowd outside the courthouse, encouraged by the likes of JVM, NG and JC, were tantamount to the crowd in the Roman Coliseum cheering the gladiator games.

I don't know Travis or his Family/Friends; nor the Arias Family. I am here for justice and curiosity of the process.

I wanted to comment earlier on "defense attorneys are just doing their job" but real life called. Now I have a few minutes. What makes me sick, yes sick on my stomach, is watching these attorney's put their arms around these people. The man in Cleveland that kept those poor girls locked up for 10 years, is a prime example of what's wrong with it. Every time I see that female defense attorney touch that mans back, it makes me shiver. How can any woman ever want to touch him? Seems like a slap in the face to those young girls. She doesn't touch him because it's her job. She does it because he's her big paycheck! She knows this will give her the publicity she needs to keep her office on over load. Never mind "how can you defend these people", how can you stand to touch them?

Patriotic Americans? Faith in the justice system restored? I didn't realize so much was broken in America until, that is, Arias was convicted. How nice of her to oblige!

I picture poor Jodi in a padded cell, straight jacket and no one to tell her lies to right now. Oh the lack of freedom and attention should be kicking in. it makes me smile that she has time to reflect on what she has done and what she continues to do

What do you think? JA SUICIDAL? Or an attention seeking wierdo?

If convicted murderess JA was placed in a room for 24 hours, all by herself--no cameras, no doctors, no lawyers, no friends ---and she was given a gun, a knife, a length of rope, a bottle of pills or a pencil and paper....which do you think she would use....????

    Exactly...

    Moo
    :cow:

ETA: I hate her for what she is doing. And I never say the H word... :furious:

I have friends who hate Keith. But he makes me feel like I'm 5 again and being tucked in to a really good bedtime story.

    BBM ~ :floorlaugh:

BBM2~ Yes, Jodi is certainly mentally immature imo. Probably one of the many reasons Travis did not want to be with her.

I understand your point. At first glance it looks like a mob and it does seem reminiscent of a NASCAR crowd cheering for a victory. I would suggest that you look deeper. The crowd outside the courtroom, and the community here, certainly have other things they could pay attention to. Why are they, and we, even watching this case?

It's not blood lust and it's not, as the media has suggested, about the lurid sexual details. It's about a horrific crime and a defendant who has used every means at her disposal to escape justice. The crowd didn't go looking for her, she voluntarily went to them via documentary style interviews. She looked at them with that earnest, innocent voice and told them that she was a victim. She lied, and even predicted that the system would fail and that no jury would convict her.

We celebrate loudly, just as we do for civil rights campaigns and political races, even though they're serious matters too. We cheer for these things because they matter, and we do so en masse because we all win when the system works. For precisely the reason you and others take issue with the celebration, I applaud it. Heartfelt jubilation might not be decorous, but it's infinitely better than apathy.

What a sad heartbreaking taleĀ….It makes me want to just focus on all the good and make sure I show my love to those close to me. Wishing misery on Jodi Arias is of no importance to me as the focus should be on the positive since it can so easily disappear.

I have a question.....I thought JA wanted to have a baby (with her lesbian lover).

Guess was another story of hers....one of a zillion stories she has told.

Jodi, Jodi, Jodi.....Didn't your Mom tell you not to lie!!

Anyone consider FJA just may have burned her bridges at her jail and did not want to face them again??
She clearly felt above them and saying she gave her generous wealth of commisary snacks to the poor, pitiful, indigent girls....

She was previously there unconvicted, now she's a convicted murderer. Status goes down, and word of her 'debasing' them wouldn't sit well.

Great question. I am sure somebody is in hot water over there. I don't know, maybe there's a policy that allows it, but I would be shocked.

Fox10 had a hell of a lot to gain from that interview. It pretty much went viral instantly. I am guessing there was cronyism going on over there....

As far as Sheriff Joe goes - I don't mind his "harsh" policies. The people in his jails are there for a reason, and it's time we stop coddling the worst lowlifes in our society.

However, I can see why people don't like him. I've met him, and sorry but I gotta say, he comes across as a real arrogant p**ck in person who acts like he's some kind of superstar! Sorry Joe, you're no Juan Martinez!!
