There is a bit more info in this Dec 19, 2019 article:

Family holds candlelight vigil for Lauderdale County man missing since March

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. — It's been nearly ten months since Bradley Lard was last seen. The 39-year-old vanished without a trace just before his birthday in March. Witness statements put him at a residence in the Cloverdale community on the night of his disappearance. With no cell phone, credit card, or bank account, investigators say tracking him is nearly impossible. . .

Basically, official hunting season is over in Alabama. That doesn't mean that people are done hunting, just done hunting legally for turkeys and deer. Anyone who goes into the woods, not just hunters, should be on the lookout though. Bubba is somewhere. Just saying that a "hunter" couldn't reveal what they'd found without revealing they were hunting illegally. It might make a difference to some.

A Lauderdale County mother is searching for answers about her son's disappearance.

Thanks to new reward money made available for the case by Gov. Kay Ivey, she believes now is the perfect time to get those answers.

"Every day is a living nightmare. I just want to know where my baby is," said Lisa Wallace.

It’s been nearly four years since Wallace last heard from her son, Bradley Lard. He was officially reported missing on April 3, 2019.

"These days and nights that it’s cold and rainy, to know that your child is out there somewhere and you don’t know — it’s terrible, and no one should have to do that," said Wallace.

“We’re all pretty sure he was murdered. " [Snip] That’s the conclusion Lauderdale County Investigator Matt Burbank believes as well. Now, he’s urging anyone with any information to come forward and help put this case to rest. “We know they’re scared, we know they’re nervous, but they have the power right now,” Burbank said. “They have a chance to right a wrong. They have a chance to bring Lisa peace that she so desperately needs.”

Lauderdale County authorities have identified the person whose remains were found in the woods by a hunter on December 13.

In a news conference on Thursday afternoon, Lauderdale County Sheriff Joe Hamilton said that the remains belonged to Bradley Eugene Lard, who was last seen around March 1, 2019. Identification was made using dental records and other cranial scans.

The sheriff’s office isn’t making a determination on if foul play was involved at this time.

“We’re still investigating all avenues of manner of death,” Burbank said. “That’s yet to be determined. If there was foul play involved, we obviously want to pursue justice for the victim.”
