Wow, just wow. What can i say, i am happy that we may have brittney home soon but also saddened that it seems with the police involvement for the search that they have reason or evidence to believe she is no longer with us. I know the odds were stacked against britt but i couldnt help praying that she took off.

Does it surprise me that they are "combing" the woods behind cw house? When i think about it no it doesnt. Cw appears to be comforted by the area and from knowledge grew up there and probally hasnt ventured out too much. For her 2 young children i hope it wasnt cw but with this case anything is possible.

Prays and thoughts are with steph and family, here is hoping that britt will finally be found.

Also astro loving your theories, really got me thinking. Do you think britt was taken before dh?

This is the first time Mobile Police and MCSO have joined with KlaasKids to search for the missing mother since she went missing nearly two years ago.

The Wood family wasn’t aware of the search. They said authorities showed up and began searching around 9 a.m.
Police say they searched until around 3 p.m., and searched about five acres of private land in hopes of finding Brittney's body.

"Brad Dennis with Klaas Kids organized the searches in a wooded area off Dozier Lane in Tillman's Corner and a clay pit just off Quimby Drive. They are both areas with strong ties to family members who are now under investigation for sex crimes".

Yes. Given that they staged her in the sweep with her 9 year old traffic ticket with all the local media, lights & camera, staged & waiting at central booking. I believe LE is good at strategy planning, too.

I agree with you that Chessie is guilty of many things. But I just can't quite fit her in with murder, because I can't answer then why only Brittney and not both people in the Facebook exchange. And DH suicide, staged or not, and Scott? Anything is possible but I think her head is scrambled and her feelings are zombified and she is an awful person, but is she a killer?

Can you or anyone confirm that the relative that Derek and his brother met up at before Derek turned himself in for his bond revocation/monitoring violation is from Brittney's father's side? I seem to forget and then get confused that Brittney has more than one gma when neither are very visible in media or social media. TIA.

I was also looking for any answers about a previous search. I found this Al.com article also from November, 2012.

MOBILE, Alabama -- After searching about 30 acres of land in Tillmans Corner, search crews found no sign of missing mother Brittney Wood, 20, on Monday.

"At this point, it's all about the investigation until they uncover something that would lead to another search," said Brad Dennis, national search director for the Klaas Kids Foundation.

Near Rangeline Road, a team of searchers and dogs looked for signs of Wood, including the clothing she was last seen in.

5 acres and I keep going back to "Juvenile Division". Do you think that division is involved because when she went missing she was 19? Although at 19 you are considered an adult not a juvenile. Very odd.

I'm wondering if LE is looking for more evidence for the upcoming trials. MOO If a young victim said there was a stash i.e. *advertiser censored* buried in the woods? Maybe a stretch.

The director of a Pensacola-based search and rescue organization believes Derek Wood could have information about his missing sister.

Brad Dennis- who operates Klass Kids Foundation- says it's possible Derek Wood, and five other suspects charged in a sex crimes investigation, are witholding information about Brittney Wood's disappearance.

"We believe they know something, we'd love for that information to come forward," says Dennis.

So do authorities on both sides of Mobile Bay.

"We're talking family here, blood is thicker than water, so it's difficult to get information," says Investigator Eric Winberg with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office.

I don't remember where Derek's ankle monitor was found when it was cut off in the weeds.

Authorities said Wood was due to report in to deputies this morning in Bay Minette and failed to appear. They said Wood's Court ordered ankle monitor and GPS tracking device showed Wood to be located at his home on Dozier Lane in the Tillmans Corner area.

Officials said deputies traveled to Wood's address and found him in a car with a female driver. They said as deputies attempted stop the car, a short pursuit resulted in the suspects' car wrecking and Wood fleeing on foot.

Deputies later located Wood's assigned ankle monitor cut off in the weeds.

Wood did not stay at the site of the accident and his ankle monitor was found in some weeds.

Wood turned himself in to law enforcement several days later.

His facebook is odd because it appears he's in jail and using a smuggled cell phone (the images are from jail with him sitting on his bunk...) and his wall is open so you can see from his lovely girlfriend that he's locked up."

Derrick was in the Dozier Lane area - B on map.
Chessie's house is marked with an A.
Rangeline Rd is marked in red.
Shipyard Rd is in yellow.

Dozier is about 3 miles from Chessie's house. Hope this helps!

I am just - wow , no words. reading that bit about the rearrest of Derek and the belief HE knows about his sister's disappearance is odd to me. Somehow I glossed over there.

I noticed too that Chessie was posting in a frenzy for 3 days regarding missing persons. Odd and considering everything she does is to benefit her, it makes you wonder - doesn't it?

So what is the deal with this property they keep searching? Is it tied to the Kents or the Wood's?

I 100% believe she's both a reader of these boards and a registered user. I also think that Wendy read here as did Mendy. Back when this case began there were a lot of 1st time posters who inboxed some of us and then suddenly dropped out of sight. They've logged in since but not posted. I think Chessie has been reading here lately, her posts on Facebook reflect it.

If you think about it, her FB used to be open and when we had the social media thread out of the parking lot it was up here. She and others read we were sleuthing. Wendy, Mendy and Chessie all locked down their FB at the same time. None of them had been arrested yet. That's why sometimes I'm hesitant about posting much on here because what if it gives the wrong person some sort of idea?

I bet if Perez went to visit Chessie for an exclusive, we would catch her slipping up. I really hope Andrew put the call to her and she's sitting down with him tonight for an exclusive (or maybe tomorrow). He has a knack for getting to the bottom of things and this is HIS story from the start. He's done very well and I really think he has been working with LE.
