Regarding the discussion about craigslist...I have to believe LE's reference to it is deeper rooted than simply two consenting adults' (or 4) choice as to sexual preferences. LE's reference of craigslist makes me wonder if the entire child sex ring wasn't promoted through craigslist, which I understand has received heat for being a hotbed of prostitution. If that's the case, I wonder if LE could locate someone outside of this family that would be more willing to talk than the family itself.

CL has monitored and shut down adult jobs/ prostitution solicitation etc. They don't catch them all - but a majority yes. Backpage is where everyone migrated to. However, a lot of hooking is posed under CE (casual encounters) but without mentioning $ or "roses".

I think it was telling that they mentioned specifically where they were posting, but I don't think it's sinister. I think it's leading and probably gives merit to the fact that they weren't too selective and a LOT of strangers were in their beds.

The warning sign were there from day one. Remember all the questions we had about all the young girls pictures at Uncle Donnies BEACH house! Wendy trying to erase all the cell phone conversations.

Each and every one of thee players should tke a polygraph to rule themselves out of this horrible crime! Isn't Chessie the only one spared thus far? Would she be so lucky if she took a poly? I think noT!
They all knew these arrests were imminent! BUSTED! DH knew it would be bad so he ended it. DW was in JaIL ALREADY SO HE COULDNT VERY WELL RUN. LE had them all!

No I don't think it has been established. I think we were speculating on other potential witnesses outside of the family that would talk and such a person, IF it happened, could be a source of witnesses.

I may have over-spoke when I posted that. But when you have Donnie promise to buy a little girl a hamster and instead allows another man to rape her while he watched, I'd say it's a near enough example.

It's horrendous no matter what you call it. I believe sexual exploitation is a more accurate description. IIRC, the act was recorded, wasn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought a commercial aspect to the crime had been confirmed.

"Sexual abuse" includes the employment, use, persuasion, inducement, enticement, or coercion of any child to engage in, or having a child assist any other person to engage in any sexually explicit conduct or any simulation of the conduct for the purpose of producing any visual depiction of the conduct; or the rape, molestation, prostitution, or other form of sexual exploitation of children, or incest with children as those acts are defined by Alabama law.

"Sexual exploitation" includes allowing, permitting, or encouraging a child to engage in prostitution and allowing, permitting, encouraging or engaging in the obscene or pornographic photographing, filming, or depicting of a child for commercial purposes.

I think many of us have been waiting for the *advertiser censored* aspect of this case to surface. At least it has always been my thoughts as to the "tip" of the iceberg. I even contemplated trying to sleuth it... but those sites scare me enough without adding in what I might see naked. I cant stomach it. Everytime I read this article I get sick thinking of DK touching this child. Just looking at his pictures truly makes my skin crawl.

Now here is something, a question that was posed to me by another sleuth who hasn't followed this case at all:

what was the motive to kill Brittney?

I know we have each came up with various degrees of reasoning - but when I was hit with this question, I didn't have a solid one. It caught me off guard and gave me a very profound need to reexamine why I just safely assumed she was murdered. I know I came to that conclusion because it was with the majority - and also since it was 'her" gun, and she was last reported to have been with him. But when you take those 2 factors away - (and this won't be popular opinion) - I can't find the motive. Everything is speculation. Donald had more reason to kill Dustin Kent, Donald Jr or even Brittney's brother. So, why was Brittney chosen? What was it about her that would give reason to murder her? I know we speculate that she was going to tell - however there is nothing backing that up. nothing.

She does however, have every reason to run off. I know logically we can't come up with where, why or how she would survive. Many feel that because of P she wouldn't have left. Again, in the minority - "P" wasn't her priority or obligation at the time. I'm not saying she didn't love her - I'm saying her partying was more of a priority than her child.

I keep going back to the battery of the phone, the gun .. and Chessie changing her story and refusing the poly. We have only Chessie and Wendy's word that the gun is Brit's. That the cell phone battery is Brit's and the day she took off. how do we know that Donald wasn't set up *and by set up, I mean to be killed since he was the ring leader.* and then shot to look like a suicide? this leaves the big question on where Brit went. I just find it very very suspicious the information Chessie and Wendy gave. I find it strange that Wendy found her husband and later detailed the car so there was no physical evidence.

Sorry for my ramble - this case bothers me a heap and I try and pick apart the bits and times that make no sense to me. I'm absolutely not trying to offend anyone - i'm just tossing around theories and stuff I'd like to discuss and gain perspective. I DO care and I want to see the right people prosecuted, the victims to be made survivors and Brittney found.

Checking in, but I've got nothing new to say. It's such a ugly, tangled mess. Brittney gone almost a year now. Glad they'll be a vigil and she is not being forgotten.

I believe you are correct about the phone call during one of Dustin's vile acts. As far as videos, I recall there being stories of pictures/videos on one of the players phones but that info came from gossip and I don't recall seeing an official verification that videos have been seized/discovered. If anyone has a link I'd be grateful to see it because it gets confusing.

Someone mentioned their online activity, when this all first started and we came across a certain username, I did happen upon a website with that name tht looked to be something you'd perform live sex acts on. Kind of like a U-stream. I don't doubt these sick monsters documented some of their perversions. I just haven't seen it confirmed by LE??

In my opinion, there are several motives that could be explored. FWIW, I find it uncomfortable writing details about these possible motives.

As far as the sex ring, I think it is possible DH made it clear to all the sicko's involved, Brittney was off limits. I believe DH may have been infatuated with Brittney. How long had Donnie been contemplating suicide? I believe it is possible DH took advantage of and hurt Brittney that night. Meaning he acted on his infatuation. DH being in a suicidal mindset acted on his fantasy. I believe Brittney would have put up a fight. Ultimately, not ending well. I believe DH knew Brittney would not have kept this quiet. This is all speculation and I really don't like writing about it. In my opinion if this occurred, DH had motive to kill Brittney. What happened next could go many ways. I believe DH may have confided in WWH. However, not sharing the real story. Donnie could have told WWH that he had to kill Brittney because she was going to talk to LE about the rape investigation. In my opinion, this is where a coverup would begin. IMHO, this is one possible motive and one that includes at least one accomplice to help coverup what happened to Brittney.

Investigators stated Brittney was the 'golden nugget' in the rape investigation. If LE knew this, you bet the rest of the sicko's knew the same. Whatever Brittney knew may have been enough to put these scums away for life, rather than a mere few years. In this theory, it is possible DH was not involved. It is possible the other sicko's made the decision Brittney knew too much and conspired to commit murder. Remember WWH commented on DH's behavior and the statement he allegedly made that he was not going to go to prison for something he didn't do. In my opinion, this is another possible motive for murder.

These people are scum. In my opinion, if they could rape children, they could easily commit murder. The scums involved in this sex ring had a lot to lose and if taking someone out could help sustain their selfish sick lives they wouldn't think twice.
