    Circumstances of Disappearance
Christy Garrard, the mother of two children, was last seen on August 15th 1998 on Roden Avenue in Boaz Alabama. It was around 09:00 in the morning when Christy was with a male friend with whom she had spent the night with at his home.
The friend states that he took Christy to her Aunts house. Christy was never seen by any family members at her Aunts house. Christy and her friend were traveling in a white pickup on the day she disappeared.
Christy was divorced and "a free spirit" who went her own way, She loved her children and always made sure they were cared for.
Christy often stayed with friends and relatives but always called her parents every few days. She called and talked to her son just two days before she disappeared, she told him she would be back the next day and they would go bowling. But Christy didn't show up, and after no word from her for a week, her parents called the police.
In January 1999, a 16-year-old DeKalb County boy told Boaz police and DeKalb County authorities he knew where she was killed. Authorities searched an area near Cross Creek in the Aroney community of DeKalb County but they determined the boy was lying.
That November, authorities acting on a tip searched in the Point of Pines community near Guntersville but failed to find anything.

A very late thanks Kat! I have been looking at another case and have noticed a girl that looks like Christy on an Adult site. The resemblance is striking to say the least.

Elepher - I think they look amazingly similaralso. I covered up the eye area on both photos with my thumb and the chin and nose appear to have the same shape. Also, I covered up the hair as best I could and the eyes and jawline appear the same. I think you have a very strong possibility here.

ETA: if you look at the second picture of Christy in the first post and compare it to the one you found - again, very similar and a little easier to compare because Christy's hair is darker and straighter.

Thanks all - I am in process of contacting CarlK90245 our UID moderator who has a great knack I hear of doing facial comparisons to get his opinion.

If we think this needs to go forward, we will have to figure out a plan as I am out of country and it may have to be submitted through US address - not sure. We will cross that bridge if we need to when the time comes.

They do look quite similar. But Christy appears to have a slightly stronger chin IMO. I don't think this woman is Christy.

Thank you Carl90245 - it was a good attempt and I will keep looking for more of our missing persons. I just couldn't pass this one by without getting opinions and whether to take this forward or not in case it was Christy.

    Amazing find Elepher!

I was stunned at how close they resemble one another. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that does turn out to be Christy!

Amazing just amazing. Call it in, there is a number on one of the flyers posted in the OP.

    I would. Good work!

The ankles in the AAV pic of "Nikki" are secured, looks like they're tethered.

Sorry to quote myself but too much time lapsed to allow me to edit. I was wrong, they're ankle straps from shoes/sandals. Sorry folks for any confusion. :)

Some East Alabama communities have been waiting decades for solutions to a few baffling missing persons cases.

Just came across this thread and followed the link elpher50 posted because I thought the resemblance between Christy and the photo he posted was uncanny and hoped there might be another photo for even more comparison. Coincidentally, the first image on the page was the one many suspected could be Amy Lynn Bradley, who disappeared during a Caribbean cruise in 1998 and who may have been abducted and forced into sexual slavery, per a few witness accounts of sightings in the years following her disappearance. BTW, before you click elpher's link, be forewarned that there is nudity on the page.

Just thought I'd point out the coincidence as a means of bumping this, since I'm curious as to whether there was any follow-up on elpher's photo.

Edit: Just realized that the possible Amy Bradley photo isn't the first on the page. It's in the second row of photos.
