This dental hygienist has been missing since June 2, 2009. Her husband reported her missing then. A search was conducted in a wooded area behind the dental practice where she was last seen. Will try to find a link.

Howard's father, Larry Henderson of Anniston; her son, Shaun Derusha of Oxford; her husband Boyd Howard; and other family members held a press conference Tuesday. . .

Howard said he saw his wife at the house the morning she disappeared. He said she had been sick, and recently was on medication that disoriented her.

Oliver said Howard has not been in contact with her family or friends since her disappearance.

"She would never not talk to her son," Howard said. "And I can't remember ever not talking to her."

"Henderson said his daughter spoke with her son on a daily basis, and with her mother and siblings several times a week.

Oliver said Howard had arranged for vacation days beginning the day she went missing.

"I think she was going to take a couple days vacation," Henderson said.

Boyd Howard said he did not find out about the time off work until his wife went missing

The part about her taking a couple of days off work, if true, makes me less suspicious of the husband than I usually am.

Family wants people to continue to look for missing Pell City woman

Investigators are still searching for a woman who has been missing for three weeks.
Kelley Henderson Howard, 41, of Pell City has been missing since June 2.

“This week has been the hardest on the family,” said Robin Bush, Kelley Howard’s sister. _“We still haven’t heard anything.”

Riverside Police Chief Rick Oliver said Howard was last seen at Family Dentistry in Riverside, where she works as a dental hygienist.

Howard is originally from the Anniston/Oxford area. She moved to Pell City about a year ago.

Family members said Howard has not been in contact with them since June 2, and it was unusual for her not to communicate with her family on a daily basis.

“We are still pursuing leads,” Oliver said.

Oliver said the FBI is not involved in the investigation at this time, and there are no immediate plans to involve the FBI with the investigation. The Riverside Police Department, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, and the U.S. Marshals Service are investigating the matter.

Has there been any information posted on Kelley, such as height, weight, tattoos? I can't seem to find anything.

"We do have a little information that her phone was used in Talledega County around the period of time between 12:50 and 1:10 pm," said Oliver.

Howard's vehicle was parked where she worked, but her keys were found in an unlikely place.

"I was looking in an area in a kudzu patch adjacent to the dental office and found the keys in a plastic bag," said Oliver.

"What happened between 12:45 and 2:00 pm?" asked Oliver. "If we could figure out what happened between that span of time, then we would know where Kelley is."
