America's Next Top Model finalist Renee Alway released from prison after five years behind bars
An America's Next Top Model contestant who's been imprisoned for the past five years has been released from custody.
Renee Alway, who appeared on the fashion-geared reality series in 2007, was paroled Wednesday from the California Institution for Women in Chino, California.
The 32-year-old Michigan native was initially arrested in Palm Springs, California in June of 2013 in connection with felony burglary, vehicle theft and possessing a firearm as a felon.
The 5ft10 Alway was sentenced to 12 years in prison in December of 2014 after pleading guilty to various criminal charges, and also ordered to pay $58,679.58 in damages to her victims.
Alway pleaded guilty to to four felony burglary counts, as well as vehicle theft and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
