How DID AL get from the hospital to Cabot to steal the dump truck? ("The company believes the truck went missing Sunday night.")

AL's route:
A. His house
B. House Beverly was showing in Scott, AR
C. Approx location he wrecked on Sunday
D. Baptist Hospital in Little Rock (I'm assuming he went to this one and not the one in NLR)
E. Location where Beverly was found & location of the cement company.

ROUTE - AL.JPG

It just seems odd that he was able to make it - without help - from west LR to Cabot after leaving the hospital.

Since robbery entails forcefully taking something from another person, and the car he crashed was not his, perhaps he robbed someone of their car? Maybe he was driving fast to get away from the area when he crashed. Anyone have access to a "police blotter" type page to see if any cars were reported stolen in that area that day?

if the car he was driving was stolen why was the citation only for careless driving as well as not wearing his seat belt?

A deputy followed the ambulance to the hospital to issue Lewis a citation for careless driving as well as not wearing his seat belt, because there was evidence Lewis hit the windshield during the crash, the report says.

Good point. I guess that theory stinks. Lol.

Maybe the next few days more info will come out that will connect the dots better. But for now, alot of unanswered questions and things that aren't making sense.

When I heard of the latest news today, I kind of jumped back in feet first to stay caught up and haven't taken the time to send my deepest sympathies to the Carter family. If you are reading, please know that you have been, are, and will remaining in our thoughts and prayers. Most of us do not know Beverly, but our hearts break for your loss of such an amazing lady. :rose:

Local here. Baptist Hospital is situated near the I-430/I-630 interchange in West Little Rock. That interchange is undergoing extensive construction of several junctions and overpasses, as well as the actual exit to Baptist Hospital. The emergency room is less than 200-400 yards to a dump truck at any given time. And there is remodeling construction at the actual hospital. They don't work on Sundays unless they are doing work that requires road closures, like hanging overpass steel or painting. But by Monday a.m., the truck would be reported as missing. JMO.

I haven't been following this case closely so I don't have anything valuable to contribute, but I got a FB alert from our local news tonight so I wanted to chime in...

Regarding the connection to another realtor, Ashley Okland. I live in West Des Moines, IA where Ashley was murdered. I didn't know her personally but we had many FB friends in common and they're jumping on this story that there may be a connection. I suppose anything is possible and I'm glad the LE agencies are at least looking in to it. It's been 3 long years and her family and friends deserve answers.

My condolences to Beverly's family and loved ones. Off to start reading back on the first thread and get caught up.

ETA: there's a comment at the end of that article that is disturbing...about someone committing suicide. Am I reading too much in to that?

This would definitely answer a question as to how he got the dump truck without having to actually travel to the cement company where BC's body was found. If he has the ability to open anti-theft device as per his bragging, then I would guess hotwiring a dump truck would definitely be easy for him.

Was the lockbox stolen? Or wasn't there one?

The police report actually said KEY

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...014-missing-realtor-1&p=11025155#post11025155

This quote is snipped right from the police report:

... I observed that the key to the door lock was not on scene...

The story that had the link to the police report is no longer available - does anyone have a link to the actual police report from when Beverly was reported missing?

TiA

ETA disregard that request for the police report it's here: http://inmannews.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Beverly-Carter.pdf

Jmo and OT but I feel pretty sure Karen Swift was murdered by her husband/soon-to-be ex.

Yep, and due to his connections in the community, he is still walking around free. Doubt this is related.

He wasn't to smart to still be hanging around the area, he must be really mental to think he was going to get away with it. Or he wanted to get caught.

Good question...

and who would have lent him a car in the first place?

:dunno:

Oh look, more in common with JM...

Abduct women
Stick around for awhile
Become POI (whether public or not at that point)
Encounter with LE (in station for JM and the crash for AL)
Involve vehicle of someone else
Have your name released as a POI
Go on the run
Have your face plastered everywhere now because you're on the run, to boot!
Get spotted by an observant citizen
Be watched by citizens till LE arrives
Get arrested for some variation of abduction, plus other charges
Make some very odd and/or unexpected comments that the public gets to hear
Feel you are also a victim
Get a laundry list of other cases that you're under the microscope on

Sure we will get more in the days to come...

If AL's complaint about jail conditions had been this week, we could have added that to the list...now it's just an honorable mention

AL's car loaner ended up with their car crashed.

JM's sister's ended up 1300+ miles away and impounded in Texas. I guess if she eventually gets it back she can be glad he got arrested there. it was likely headed for a whole lot more miles and the probably never returning after a likely to to Mexico!

Betting neither will jump to allowing others to take their cars in the future! Especially after having to explain you didn't have or now needed a new car because yours got involved in an abduction murder case...over and over.

am I correct that AL complained about the "conditions" of prison during a prior incarceration?

:baby: :tantrum:

A favorite trend now?

AL has, JM did last week, and Jodi and her sandwiches...

:scared:

I can't believe AL said he didn't get to go to the hospital! Yes he did....he just didn't stay! :gaah:

You can't gripe about that one, dude!

Here's a transcript of what Lewis said to reporter Shannon Miller while he was being escorted from the Pulaski County Courthouse after entering his not guilty plea:

Reporter: Arron are you hurting for some reason?.
Lewis: Yeah, I got in a car wreck the other day. i haven't been to the hospital yet.
Reporter: You pleaded not guilty. Why?
Lewis: Because that's what my lawyer said to do.
Reporter: Did you in the courtroom originally say you wanted to get it over with, that you wanted to plead guilty?.
Lewis: Yeah

Just read Beverly's son's post, makes me so sad for him and his family. Just makes me mad too that this scum AL had to take Beverly's life, she seems so bright and such a light to the community and her family. I know people like AL and I stay far away from that kind.

Made sense to me to but didn't they say the dump truck keys were on him? I thought I read that. Do they just leave keys in dump trucks so anyone (on shift) doesn't have to waste time finding/passing along keys on a job site?
