I'm totally confused, so please explain if you want.
You stated she was gone away all weekend, then said she wasn't home when he wrecked his car (which was on Sun.), but said she went to the hospital on Sun. Plus was questioned for 8 hours on Sun? Sorry for my confusion, but being away all weekend to me usually means Fri. P.M. to Sunday P.M.

So sad the daughter was frightened and her dogs were adopted out. Sad she had to be drug through that drama.

She was not there on Thur night early but was home later. She was there some on Friday due to classes but was home later and they got in a huge fight and she went to stay elsewhere. She was on her way home on Sun when she got the call to come to the hospital. Now I'm confused if they arrested her on Sun or Mon for the theft by receiving. I know it was before they captured him. She was questioned for 8 hours. She did go to hospital but not sure she ever got to talk to AL there because he slipped away when she was speaking to LE. That is what she told me to the best of my memory.

All I know about the hospital is that she was called there by AL. When she got there police started questioning her about where he was going and she told them probably home. They told her he was going in opposite direction of home. She had no idea where he was going since she had spent night elsewhere. While she was being interviewed by police AL slipped out back door or whatever happened and left. That is how she found out he was a suspect at that same time. I think police told her at the hospital. It was my understanding that the warrant came and then AL was gone. That is the first CL knew he was being watched or about him being a suspect.

Do you know which plant the dump truck was stolen from @savvyrose? I thought I read you said Saline Co. Would that be Benton?
The plant is actually in Alexander. Just outside of Little Rock.
That doesn't make sense to me that he left while they were talking to her but told her he was headed in the opposite direction.
It creates even more questions. Like:
Who picked him up?
How did they know what direction he was heading?
Did she leave from there and go to questioning?
Dd she see AL at the hospital?

I'm sorry!! I just need something to make sense!
I know you don't know all the answers. But I think you know more than you realize when you put your firsthand knowledge together with what we know. Talking thru it helps.

Sure wish we were all sitting on a big comfy couch discussing this. Lol

When LE was following AL he was going in opposite direction of CL's house. That is what LE told her when they talked to her. They asked her where he would have been going and she thought home due to where he had the wreck. That is when they told her no he was going in opposite direction. She had no idea where he was going then. Maybe that is confusing because the conversation happened with LE at the hospital but during time AL was apparently slipping out the back of hospital. Maybe I was not clear before. I do not know if she ever saw AL at hospital but I do not think so because he slipped away while she was tied up talking to LE. She was arrested and questioned later either that day or Monday. I think it was monday when she was arrested and questioned for 8 hours. That would have been day after hospital.

Something else to consider is there is something called secondary transfer DNA. Example: In secondary transfer, there is no direct contact between a person and an object. It is instead transferred through an intermediary. This could be another person or another object. An example expanding upon the same knife example as above is as follows: Person A shakes Person B's hand. Person B touches the handle of a knife. Secondary transfer theory would allow that Person A's DNA could be transferred first to Person B's hand and second to the knife handle. This would mean that even though Person A never actually touched the knife handle, his DNA could be present on it.

They did live in same home and drive same vehicles. It's possible that her DNA could have got on BC from BC being in AL's car in passenger seat???? Obviously this is speculation.

I would think that in order for her to be arrested for capital murder that there's more than secondary transfer DNA. What if they found CL's dna on Beverly's body and clothing?

What time were the classes that CL attends, do you know?

The person that said she was at school knew for sure as in they are 100% aware she was at school and can verify seeing her there. It's not hearsay. CL told me she arrived home at 10 pm and AL was already home playing internet games.
Playing video games? *facepalm* Sheesh, wonder where BC was and why the texts to CC came in from Beverly's phone after 1a.m.?

Mzopinion8d, I agree with your entire post except that LE would remove him if the lease is in her name. In arkansas, once a person sets up residence at your house , having mail delivered there is enough , they have to be evicted thru court to be forced to leave. The police can't make them leave. I know this because my dad tried to get the woman that killed him escorted off his property but they told him since she lived there, they could not make her leave.

ITA.I know someone that happened to last summer in my state. Cops said he had as much right to be there as She did even tho the lease was in her name.

I would agree with you on needing more than secondary transfer of DNA to charge her with kidnapping and capital murder. This is more involved than just AL as almost everyone posting here has thought/mentioned. Maybe it's the cheer leader connection; some kind of business connection; or any number of things. Today, and this changes often, I am wondering about competition between real estate agents as possibly starting this. But I don't know anyone involved so it's just speculation. Someone mentioned how a person can use drugs like meth and come up with some grand ideas about how to get money. They rarely make any sense once one sobers/cleans up and therefore whoever had the ideas doesn't follow through. As far as those who say CL could never do anything like this and/or never did drugs: it's amazing what people can do that others know nothing about. MOO

It would be irrelevant to me that CL was in class the night of the kidnapping. The actual murder could have taken place the next day or so for all we know, in which case CL could have been present. MOO

We dont know when she died. We have 2 stories from AL about it but none from any other source. His versions-I havent seen her for 2 days--she died that night. Her body was found fairly quickly so I would think an autopsy would tell pretty darn close.

Such as reward or ransom money? That would play into what AL said about "anything that happened was an accident". Probably no intention of murdering Beverly, just trying to scam someone out of money.

LE would not know it was secondary DNA. How do you tell the difference? IF BC was in AL's car then CL's DNA could have been in that car and transferred to the body? Or AL used blankets or other items from CL's house and her DNA was on them. Anything is possible. I do agree they had to show something to a judge to get arrest warrant. What if they told judge CL was a flight risk due to her daughter being at the father's house? It has to be something but it doesn't mean it isn't circumstantial? Just throwing this out there.

This was a bigger plan that went wrong than just robbing Beverly. My guess one of the reasons they know her purse contents was all there is because that $100 she won that day was still in her purse.

Hmmm. This is a head scratcher!
CL was supposedly around "some" on Fri, went to school came home later, got in fight and left to spend the night away from home. Even though she and AL were fighting the night after BC disappeared--- don't think this is going to look too good for CL in court---leaving town.

I understand what you're saying about the DNA. Interesting point on the flight risk, didn't you say that CL had no idea that she was close to being arrested? Another thought I had what about camera's along the route from where Beverly went missing to where she was found, that would take some time for that information to be reviewed. Maybe CL is on the film with AL?

This is true. Until we know the time of death I have to agree with you on this one even though I will state again for the record I do not think CL is capable of this.

She didn't leave town. She was staying here locally. Just not at her house where AL was staying.

All they need is proof CL was along for the ride and went along with the plan she would be charged the same as AL even if AL did the actual killing.

Definitely no cameras in Scott, AR. NOt sure about Cabot but doubtful. Maybe on freeway if that route was taken. Personally I think if AL killed her he did it then went home, cleaned up and played video games as if nothing was wrong.

Temp custody change happened on 10/21 but may not have been known on paper until later when something was filed or when LE found out. She was arrested the following week. so maybe the flight risk would be enough for a warrant. I know she was not staying at her house much so maybe LE was watching. She was selling everything in the house trying to get rent money to keep roof over her head. Maybe to LE this appeared to be someone selling everything to get money to flee. May be enough for a warrant.
