Still, we need to be very careful with our children because molesters don't come with signs and we don't know who they are. I applaud careful parents.

As I said in many of my post, it was not to offend. I am sorry to you that most molesters are men, I am sorry to you that I dont trust men, And I am sorry to you that most of these news stories are MEN.

I'll admit that I worry about men more than women. My middle son is autistic and we have TSS's (Therapuetic Support Specialists) coming to the house 3-5 days a week, 3-6 hours a day for the last five years. There've probably been 20-25 people (all young, early-mid twenties) in that time. Of those people only 2-3 were male. I have to admit that I did have a twinge about it. But my son worked really well with them, and everything was fine.

So, yes I understand what you're saying about being more concerned about men than women. I just don't think there are as many molesters out there as you do.

Remember also that the media is flawed.

What gets more attention the story about the molester raping a 4 year old, or the story about a dad doing chores, helping kids with homework and playing video games?

Ok, this debate is taking away from the real issue here. A daycare provider raped a little girl while she slept.

Was this freak not given a background check? I wonder if this is his first time GETTING CAUGHT? We all know, this is NOT his first time molesting CHILDREN!
I know of ANOTHER case in Nashville where daycare provider at a Children's World raped a little girl. It was kept hushed up but I remember going there to pick up a friends child and seeing the FREAK there and wondering how any parent would leave their kids alone with this man.

Ok, I was raped by a female family member (when I was 4-6 and she was a teenager) I know I would not leave my daughters and sons alone with young people. PERIOD. I was molested by a family friend and a family member...I will not leave my kids alone with ANY men other than their father. WHY?
