DREW COUNTY, Ark. - Human remains found in a wooded area Monday afternoon have been taken to the State Crime Lab for identification.

The Drew County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) says the skeletal remains were found behind a home on Highway 138, east of Monticello.

Investigators with the DCSO and the Arkansas State Police collected evidence from the scene.
Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober says at this time it is believed that the remains are those of an African American male.
Deputies say the remains were found by a person who lives in the area.

how do they know so quick ? Arkansas listed my GA as a Black Female (she was very white) and she went unidentified for 10 years because of it I even called to confirm there was no way it could be her but it was :(
 
I hope he had ID on him and they are just waiting for confirmation of that ID. But I agree that there have been many instances where a UID's race was guessed at incorrectly.
