HAHA. probably. If you were his GF at one time, would you come out an admit it?:blushing:
Loughner's ex-girlfriends came out and admitted it. Several of them gave interviews, or other people told the press about them. But nobody said JH had a girlfriend, as far as I can tell.
Since Fenton, called members of the BETA Team about JH and that he could be potentially danger to others, isnt that regardless if he is still a student on not, Beta TEAM should still do something to protect the other STUDENTS that are inside the University and not just say they dont have a control of him?... What if is this mass killing happen in the University? I think he can do it anywhere not just the theater IMO
to use or abuse your analogy, JH was the pilot of his own life.
he shared some information with air traffic control (DrFenton)
whatever this information was, she felt it was not enough
to divert JH's plane (life) to land at the mental hospital.
I appreciate your point of view.
None of us know how much or what info the doctor had,
that could make a difference in my opinion of the situation.
I do stand by the fact that a psychiatric hold is stripping
a person of their rights.
here's the form for Colorado.
Yeh I thought that when I saw that piece i thought oh pls now they are gonna try to make it like he ate Vocodin cause hedger ODed on that and 19 others --
- that one hit me as just a stretch
he is MI , addicted to rx stuff pretty classic MI stuff not this leger nonsense! HA
Our starting points are different
yours: JH was the pilot of his own life.
Mine: he is so NOT the pilot of his own life
His neurotransmitters are not firing correctly - he is no more in control of his life than a diabetic is of their blood sugar
JH wanted to hurt others, but what if he wanted to hurt himself. Would you expect someone to notice and do something? Wouldn't it be better to consider a 72 hr. involuntary?
What I have found so stunning here , I try to tell myself that of course (career)) I have diff notion BUT
whatever this information was, she felt it was not enough
to divert JH's plane (life)
she did have enough information (Fast forward July 20!) my stuff with Fenton is , what on earth stopped you ok fine your Beta crap aint working , well fine fix that later you know clinically that this is a sick kid--call 911 identify yourself - have them escort him for further eval -- a professionial will not get in any trouble for initating invol commit - no confidentiality breach nothing
When I started I had trouble with invol comm -- did not last long -- cause the minute I reframed it that it is a loving and caring thing to do , it was easier to do.
As time passed I noticed colleagues had trouble with it -- for them it was a power control thing -- it never was for me . It was about caring , I am concerned right now Joe, I do not think your feeling really safe now , and I do not think I feel as if your safe your right now etc etc
MOST of the time , after discharge and they had slowed down they would be grateful
see in this mess we all have issues with the slaughter
but for the individual going through screaming voices, delsuions, not knowing where who they are
noise noise noise
they are very afraid people
this IMO was why the world saw (court) him he was totally congruent with others I have worked with he was not faking he had been medicated IMO, is just coming back to be James (not the joker) and learning what had happened what he did
if you play the video again the moments when he is mostt bewildered it is the media comment, the murder charge comment by the judge
Unless one can truly grasp that james holmes mind did not kill all those people that the joker IN James mind did so it is a different scene
Boy am in trouble now Holmes is devasted by what happened if he is taking his meds and back to being James and I know to most I sound crazy now!!
I have seen it, I have been with folks experiencing delsuions, it is real
he was the joker
does that excuse no
is it identical to someone with diabetes crashing into a bus cause there blood sugar levels went off and killled bunches you bet its medical (MI)
AT least six psychiatrists including a team of FBI behavioural analysts are trying to get inside the mind of Batman massacre gunman James Holmes.
They are trying to determine whether he is well enough to stand trial for 12 murders and the attempted murders of 58 people at a Colorado cinema last month
Two prosecution psychiatrists, a further two appointed by his defence team and two FBI specialists have so far been unable to work out if Holmes understands why he is in captivity.
if Dr. Fenton tested his neurotransmitters I'll eat my words :blushing:
I just don't think there was enough observed to warrant more than
what was done by Dr & University, time will tell.
A look at JH's from his friends and co-students.
How many more people can they fit in his head? It's not some clown car. Sorry, it seems JH doesn't have any connection to the joker anymore. That I do find really hard to believe. Any lingering satisfaction of manifesting your fantasy? How long can he not remember killing those people? I'm interested in what to think of JH being JH again, and surprised he's in jail.
I've worked in these situations too & while I'm not against
the concept by any means, I appreciate how carefully the
extent of the individuals illness must be realized.
We don't have to agree on the unknowns.
I'm curious what you think as someone with experience,
would have an intervention & psychiatric evaluation
changed the outcome in this case?
I am of the opinion that he would have used his knowledge
& intelligence to downplay any symptoms & would have been
released in 24 hours. Even if it was 3 days or a week,
everything would still be the same.
I'm nervous. This is my first post here so please be gentle.
I've found a site where JH posted about the results of one of his research projects. I've asked a friend to basically tell me what he means and, basically, what he says is that the review means that the specific research project failed. And, he added, that a project like this would have been a major project and would have been a major blow to JH since it meant months of tedious work and research for naught, basically. I have no idea. I don't understand most of it.
What I did notice, however, is that if this is truly JH as he indicates on the site, his review of the research was posted in May 10, 2012 and was posted by "James Holmes" of "UC Denver." And, as such, could be our first indicator in the downward spiral he experienced academically and mentally prior to the June withdrawal.
I've quoted his review here...
Effective transferability to mESCs questionable
Application or Technique: Neural Stem Cell Differentiation
Cell Start attempted to be used in place of MEF feeder layer to maintain mESCs. Attached and grew on substrate. After applying multiple neural stem cell differentiation protocols, cells were not Sox1 GFP+ (neuronal stem cell marker). Suggests MEF provides some yet unknown factors in mESC maintenance not seen in Cell Start.
This may be the most significant first post to a messageboard ever.
I don't understand what exactly this review means regarding his project, but he was so early into the graduate program for him to worry about failing research projects. He would only be starting working on research projects since he was finishing his first year. Even if some research project of his failed, it wouldn't be too concerning, since again, he was at the very start of research projects. During the first year graduate students take classes so research only becomes their major focus in the second year and so on.
He wrote the review.
Go here. Next to the stars he reviewed the product. For example, I just bought something off of target and wrote a review. He reviewed a product.
Maybe to you it wouldn't be a big deal. Could be for someone not used to any type of failure.
If that is him.. doesn't sound like someone with schizophrenia...
Very true. He also sounds pretty coherent and doesn't claim to be the Joker (assuming he is the one who wrote the review).
