Please continue here and remember all my previous admonitions :) AND make note of my new ones:

    Victim Friendly

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civl and constructive way and ONLY IF IT IS RELEVANT TO THE CASE. Additionally, sleuthing family members that are not suspected of being involved in the crime or disappearance is not allowed. Don't make random accusations or post personal information (even if it is public) like parking tickets, address, or first and last names of all their relatives and their neighbors. Also, never "bash" or attack them, or accuse them of involvement. However that does not mean that family members cannot come into discussion as the facts and issues of the case are discussed.

    Verified / Professional Posters

We are lucky enough to have posters from all walks of life with a broad spectrum of expertise. Some may have special inside knowledge about a case or be directly related to a player in the case. This is all extremely valuable information for the forum. However, we like to make sure that anyone posting as a professional in a specific area (doctor, lawyer, search and rescue, etc.), or as someone with inside information, truly is what/who they claim to be. Verification is 100% optional. No posters are required to become verified unless they wish to post inside or professional information. If you wish to become verified, please contact Tricia, Websleuths owner, at wsverify@xmission.com with your Websleuths name, your real name, the case, and your phone number and a good time to call. If you have any questions, contact a moderator.

I am of the view discussion of the victim's behavior which may have led to or contributed to her victimization (such as possible problems with alcohol) is ok to do provided it is done tastefully and without bashing. Please let me know if I am mistaken. Thanks.

I am new here.. First post actually. I hope I'm doing this right. Below us a quote I've copied from a previous post:

"Another angle to check would be to find out from Robyn's friends if she carried a bottle of sleeping pills with her as a routine. I believe it will be discovered that she does not"

My personal opinion, and this is based on RF's answer and his body language/ reaction to questions regarding RG taking sleeping pills.
In every interview that I've saw when he was asked about her taking sleeping pulls, he wouldn't give a direct yes or no answer. He would only say that he has never known her to take sleeping pills during the day. I always try to read between the lines with everyone (bad habit, I know) and to me, if she doesn't take sleeping pills and he'd never saw her take any/ known her to take any, I would think he would say just that , instead of the I've never known her to take them during the day answer that he always gives.
    Jmo
Also, I'm not saying anything bad about sleeping pills or people who have to take them. Theres many people who do need them to sleep. Robyn could have been one of the many people who need them to sleep. GG could have known this about her and used it to his advantage. That could be a reason he was quick to tell the ALE that she had taken them earlier. Knowing their would be traces of the pills in her system if she washed ashore. So, I'm thinking he could have probably gotten sleeping pills and slipped them in her drinks, thinking he could have his way with her. Maybe do things she wasn't previously comfortable with, but she became too "woozy" possibly could have overdosed from the mixture of pills and alcohol, he panicked, went to the secluded part of the island and swam her out as far as he could and then hatched his "swept out by a current theory" that's one of the many theory's that I have. And it's just my own personal opinions.

Thanks for reading. I hope I've posted this correctly and in the correct place. I'm glad to be a part of the group. Looking forward to making friends and discussing many ideas and opinions with you all. :)

As far as taking sleeping pills, her schedule was probably "off" from what she normally experienced when at home. At home, especially when she was working, she may have taken a sleeping pill at 10 or 11 p.m. In Aruba, they probably returned to the room at a much later time, so she may not have taken her sleeping pills until 3 or 4 a.m. If so, the effects would last longer into the day, instead of wearing off by 7 a.m.

Also, one more question before I go to bed. In your own opinions, do any of you find it odd that while RF was describing the two times that police were called on he and RG, that he was quick to point the finger at her. "she" drank too much those nights, "she" got too loud resulting in the police being called. Not that I think that he has anything to do with her disappearance. I just think that he and Robyn weren't in the type of relationship that hed like for us all to believe. Something about him comes across as odd to me.
Does anyone know if he had given her cats, her clothes, etc to her brother before or after he got the news that she was missing. It seems to me that RF and RG had recently broken up before she took the trip to aruba with gg... Maybe thats why CJ seems to have a problem with RF and may be the reason the family originally asked him not to speak about Robyn to the media. Just curious as to what yall think about these things.

    Again - my own opinions-
I'll catch up with yall tomorrow to see what you may think.
Goodnight. Peace Love and Happiness to you all!

Of course, there's job protection ... but downsizing solves the problem. Does a dentist really need one employee to focus solely on scheduling, or could another employee include that in their job description.

Brought this over from the last thread--finally a question I can answer!

I worked in the dental industry for over 15 years and I can say that in large, busy practices (multiple dentists and hygienists), this position can keep one person fully occupied in a 32-40 hour a week position. They do far more than 'focus on scheduling,' ... far more. As is the case with most jobs, their entire job description is far more than their job title implies. (I'd list everything but it would make your eyes glaze over...)

Now if the practice had become slow, lost a dentist or a few hygenists, and he no longer had enough work to keep her employed, than you'd be correct. Her stuff would get dumped on the other people. But just so people know, your dental office 'receptionist' does far more than answer phones, she's probably your insurance coordinator among other things, and she may be an office manager to boot. She's already overworked. And the dentist dumping the extra stuff is not likely offering a raise to go with the increased work load.

I saw that people were guesstimating Robyn was a 12 dollar and hour employee a few threads back...

In Atlanta, 10 years ago, you could make anywhere from 24,000-45,000 a year as a dental assistant (and a dental assistant does far more than hand the dentists instruments!) Same range for front desk insurance coordinator and for scheduling/treatment coordinator. I'd say around 50-60,000 as an office manager of a large practice. Hygienists (cleans teeth)back then could make 45 bucks an hour, sometimes more. Two year degree! Many chose to work only a few days a week and still made about 50,000 a year back then. And that's Atlanta 10 years ago. Go forward ten years and adjust for cost of living in Maryland...

But just for general reference ... those people you see 'just answering the phone/scheduling appointments' at you local dentists, doctor, specialists.... that's not even close to all that they do and you might be surprised to hear their job responsibilities and salaries! :seeya:

I keep meaning to ask: Robyn's family ... have they spoken out at all? I haven't heard a single thing about them but I could have missed it in past threads. Did any of her family come to Aruba? Spoken to the media?

Good morning. so who saw GG's father on the Today Show this morning? I didn't see him but was listening while getting ready for work. Class guy, loved his kids, the father is 80ish and has a long time companion who stated GG was always nice to women, polite and they'd never seen him any other way. Well, people do usually act in their best way possible when with parents. I doubt he shared his porn interests or drug/alcohol use with his father or any other family member. It seemed to me to be a useless interview. I do feel for them for not being able to talk to him. It is his son afterall. JMO

    Welcome Shoretoshore.

I am also wondering when, in the sequence of events, RF returned Robyn's things to her brother.

I have read that she told him she was going to visit parents in Florida. Then during a phone conversation he heard background noise that tipped him off that she was NOT in Florida (anyone remember the details of this?), so she told him her parents surprised her with a trip to Aruba. He MAY at that time have figured out what was REALLY going on and wanted every trace of her stuff removed from his home. I have to say that I would have done the same if it were me. There was no marriage to save and no children involved.

Is it possible her brother texted or phoned her in Aruba with this news and then Robyn sent the message to RL saying they would work things out when she returned?

Does anyone have a good timeline worked out on the sequence of events?

It's in the video story I posted a bit ago, was waiting for someone to bring it up. That his shoes and socks were wet but his bathing suit appeared dry but he was covered in sweat and uncooperative with not searching for her.

I'm not positive but I don't beleive she was in the water. JMO

I don't believe she was in the water at that spot. Possibly at another location.

I am not positive either but a swimsuit would dry very fast in the heat and wind
It would take much longer for socks and running shoes

I wonder why his shoes and socks were wet? Did he go swimming with them on, Normally you would put you shoes and socks on AFTER you come out of the water, right?:waitasec:

There was a report that RG was planning on breaking up with Richard. I'm not sure how they would know that, unless maybe it came from one of her friends.

    Welcome!

You bring up good points, there is something odd. I got to the point of just tuning RF out.

According to CJ, the relationship was not as RF was portraying it to be, so we know at least that much, it's too bad she didn't go further but I can understand if maybe she didn't want to air any dirty laundry as it doesn't do anything to find RG now.

This could also be RF's guilty conscience at work, we just don't know.
