Happening now, a person driving rammed a barricade, injured two, possibly three Capitol police officers. He left the car, attacked and slashed a police officer and subsequently was shot. Three people currently hospitalized, including the attacker. At least one officer was critically injured

Apparently they may have had a warning

I'm just heartbroken for the officer's family & for the whole force. It's been such a hard past few months for them and now today.

Watching NBC live & I'm hearing that the officials don't think it's terrorism related, they're looking into any drugs or alocohol. They've traced the car's registration but who knows if that's who was driving today.

I believe the helicopter is for an officer who is being medevaced out but I could be wrong.

Like all of you, I'm sick and tired of the the non-stop violence, killings and BS happening in the United States!!!! This has to stop.......all of it needs to stop.

Prayers going out to the officers, their families, loved ones and all who are suffering.

I wish they would update us on the other officers condition.

On Fox it showed the hospital, and its lined with police vehicles in front of it. So sad. They must all be inside together hoping, and praying for their brother or sister in blue to survive.

I pray he or she pulls through.

So much damage can be done to the body when they are crushed between the vehicle, and the concrete barrier.

What an evil person. He hurt those who only wanted to protect, and serve. A thankless job many times. Most professions never have to think about if they will ever come back home everyday to their loved ones.

God Bless all who bravely serve knowing the grave danger that each one may face which can happen at any time.
