The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance in an attempt kidnapping investigation.

It was reported that:

- on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a 23-year-old woman was walking in the area of Brookbanks Drive and Valley Woods Road

- a pick up truck, which was also on the street, approached the woman

- someone from inside the pick-up truck reached out from the window and grabbed the woman, attempting to pull her into the vehicle

- the woman was able to break free and run away

The pick up truck is described as red in colour, and is possibly a Ford or Nissan with tinted windows."

Truck sought in attempted kidnapping of woman in North York
"A 23-year-old woman narrowly escaped being abducted in a North York residential neighbourhood Wednesday night, police say."

"She said the woman luckily managed to “break free and run away.”
Police have yet to release a description of the would-be abductor".
