Found Alive Australia - CC, 3, Bundaberg QLD, 10 April 2014 - #3

this link has break and enter in the charges, the above link I posted doesnt. Reporters must be in a hurry getting ready for Easter weekend MOO

The case against a 45-year-old man charged with the abduction of a three-year-old girl in Childers in southern Queensland has been adjourned in Bundaberg's Magistrates Court.

Eden James Kane from South Isis is charged with child abduction, deprivation of liberty and break and enter.

Could the break and enter charge be for the tennis court breakin? Wonder why he wasn't charged for smashing the police car window?

I will never understand the protecting the perp stuff! Yesterday in the next suburb over from me a woman was fatally stabbed in front of her fifteen year old son on a busy shopping street. It was her de facto that she had a restraining order against. He is in the run and all they give is a description!! No name, no pic! It infuriates me!!!!

OT but he turned himself in this morning.

OFF TOPIC, HERES A SCENARIO.
Pedophiles hang around schools, takes photos.
School closed during holidays.
Children's play toys at front of house.
Pedophile now watches these children playing, takes photos.
Smaller child more interesting.

DNA washed
Camera burnt
*advertiser censored* destroyed on hard drive.

please advise if I'm overstepping??

Yes, red flag when I read about the hard drive and camera and immediately thought that was NOT good.. I thought of child pornograpy, was he taking photos of her and uploading them for others? But there are a few different avenues of thought. He hasn't been charged with sexual assualt or molestation, so its safe to say he didn't do that? (I wondered how long DNA evidence of that would last on the child, but then I am sure there would be other signs of injury had that occured). I would think police would be fairly confident that did not happen if they have not charged him with that..I think. Now its not necessarily so, but I thought if he was using her for child *advertiser censored* images, and is depraved in that way, then it would be likely he would also sexually assault her. Though not definite I guess..Maybe he hadn't quite gone that far yet...

If not child *advertiser censored*, then maybe given police aren't ruling out others involvement, the camera and harddrive are pictures of the house , chloe etc and indicating involvement by others..or maybe he was set to ask for ransome.. I don't know, just that the camera and hard drive being burned is a worry..

Sorry if I was rambling here, all just thoughts..

FRIENDS of the family of the abducted Childers girl have hurled abuse at her alleged kidnapper in a Bundaberg court this morning.

At the conclusion of proceedings he appeared to be eyeballing the girl’s parents and friends.

A supporter of Mr Kane, believed to be his mother, was also present and watched the accused as he mouthed words to her.

Friends of the young victim’s parents lobbed verbal cannons at Kane as they left the courtroom.

A male friend called out: “You’re a weak *advertiser censored***** maggot”.

No doubt I would hurl a few unsavory words to the accused too.

I guess the CCTV footage doesn't show CC. It was taken at dawn.

It’s alleged Kane entered through a window at the girl’s house some time after 2am last Thursday, and took her to his rural property about 3km away.

I wonder why those people caught on CCTV did not come forward to tell LE it was they in the footage?

Or... If they did... I wonder why this wasn't reported?

Maybe LE wanted to keep the unknown (at the time) perp(s) on edge?

Seems to me EK isnt very rational. Who would think a man of his age would break into a tennis club? What on earth would he expect to find there, apart from left over cup cakes in the fridge, or perhaps mismatched tea cups? :scared:

Or someones old shoes? I do believe the print on the roof of the car was a toe print, so maybe he needed shoes??

Sorry... But I had to giggle a little at your question... Because I was thinking the same thing.. what on earth would this creep want to steal from a Tennis Club, of all places? :what: Stinky socks, towels, undies?... :giggle:

However... Then I remembered that at gyms in the US... Thieves often take wallets/keys/etc. From the changing room where people change into gym wear... And leave clothes and valuables in this room...

Perhaps this was his misguided intent?

:dunno:

Oh jeez.... I just thought of something else.... Was he a "Peeping Tom".... Watching women change while hiding in a closet (or somewhere?)....

From what I have read, pretty sure he broke into the Bauple tennis club around 2.30am. :bang:

SECURITY measures were bolstered at Bundaberg Magistrates Court as accused child abductor Eden James Kane faced court for the second day in a row.

Kane, 45, is accused of a abducting a three-year-old Childers girl and has been charged with deprivation of liberty, abducting a child under 16 and break and enter.

When Kane first entered court this morning, he gave a thumbs up and nodded reassuringly to a woman believed to be his mother.

Security was tight at the court with police searching and scanning people with metal detectors as they entered the room.

But the security measures were not enough to protect Kane from the abuse hurled at him from supporters of the alleged victim's family who became hostile as the short appearance came to an end.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Donna Sperling said the matter would take some time for police to prepare.

"We'd ask for at least eight weeks as it's going to be quite an extensive brief," Snr Const Sperling said.

Well... I guess we are back to your theory of him stealing stale cupcakes and mismatched tea cups then...

:D

Bauple doesn't seem like a very big place- if EK had left home in a hurry, maybe he was just looking for a facility with a canteen where he could steal some food. Seems between 2 and 3 in the morning are busy times for him....

A search of his house at Rainbows Rd, in the rural South Isis district, uncovered “items linked to (the girl)” as well as evidence of a fire in which a camera and hard drive had been burnt

I still am thinking he was watching CC for a while. Stalking taking pitcures ect. He wanted to "Care" for her as the parents and friends werent up standing citizens. He became obsessed enough to go get her. I do think he watched the house for a while why else would he know she was in the lounge room. And then he seized his moment and took her. Children are such heavy sleepers the other two would've not even stired. I do believe he didn't do anything sexuall to her. I do think he panicked about all the attention this got. He probably thought in his mind that the parents wouldnt give a damn that their 3 yo was missing. And thats why he left her in the dark at the showgrounds. Close enough for her to get home but far enough away so he could escape. Just my theory

Sunrise: police were interviewing Kane about the break and enter at the tennis club when they noticed a match in fingerprints by coincidence. He then admitted taking her.

Once again, this is NOT adding up. Why would they then send for 30 more detectives?

Fruity, were 30 more detectives called in to investigate a child *advertiser censored* ring?
A child trafficking ring?
They were called in...but why?

Don't we have a fingerprint database here in Australia? Why was the match in fingerprints only noticed after the break in at the tennis club? Why wasn't it matched to prints already in the system?

I would say the 30 detectives were because until they stumbled across the break in at the tennis club, no one had a clue who had taken her.

One thing for sure. The family and friends at least would have no trouble finding the courthouse. Many of them seem to be thoroughly familiar with it.
