    This is unbelievable ..

FORMER detectives Roger Rogerson and Glen McNamara walked into a storage facility with Jamie Gao — minutes later only two of them walked out carrying a body, police will allege ..

Who are Glen McNamara and Roger Rogerson?

Roger Rogerson is probably the best known crooked cop in Australia, when working for police he was one of it's most highly decorated officers, he was also one of it's most corrupt, was closely involved with members of organised crime .. Rogerson received a criminal conviction, which was overturned on appeal, for involvement in drug dealing, allegedly conspiring with notorious Melbourne drug dealer Dennis Allen to supply heroin. He was the subject of the television series 'Blue Murder' and after some time in jail he became an entertainer, telling stories of his police activities in a spoken-word stage show called The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, with former Australian footballers Warwick Capper and Mark "Jacko" Jackson. He then had another spell in prison and following his release from prison in 2006, Rogerson resumed his entertainment career with Mark "Jacko" Jackson by appearing in a show called The Wild Colonial Psychos with Jackson and Mark "Chopper" Read, he also wrote for the Daily Telegraph.

Roger Rogerson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mr McNamara is a former investigator with the National Crime Authority and the NSW Police; he was a detective stationed in Kings Cross and Sydney's south. He gave evidence to the NSW Police royal commission about alleged police protection of paedophiles.

He is the author of the book Dirty Work.

Meanwhile police are still searching for Roger the Dodger ..

Elite squad sends in its top men to hunt Roger Rogerson

    http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...t-roger-rogerson/story-fni0cx12-1226932392908

Amazed that he is still active, don't these people ever retire?

Seriously, I cannot believe this has happened, I feel incredibly sorry for James' mum .. he was her only child and it's so sad that he got caught up in all this, Roger Rogerson was part of an industry in Australia that glorifies criminals and criminal activity, it's not at all surprising that young men attempt to enter a life where there is promise of excitement and easy money.

    Roger Rogerson.

    How OLD is he?

    What a rogue.

He killed Sallie Anne Huckstepp too, apparently. No Proof. :(

This time sounds like they've got him...well, nearly.

    He's probably in Bali.

I know .. is this the most incompetent crime in recent history? This paragraph astounded me ..

The two experienced former police officers are alleged to have used their own cars. It is claimed that Mr Gao’s body was put in McNamara’s white station wagon, which was followed by Rogerson in his silver Ford Falcon.

I suppose we have to give them a small amount of a break for being active before the advent of the mobile phone and CCTV cameras everywhere, but seriously .. and did they really need to murder James Gao to take the drugs off him, what was he going to do to them?

Arrrggghhh .. so they don't say which radio station or what she said?

ETA: Oh she's the one that said he'd be flying back Tuesday after a little talk in QLD about how awesome it is to be a crim .. we really need to look at the culture in Australia in regards to this, the media really glorifies criminals to an extent.

Hot tip Roger .. don't use your own car when committing murder, CCTV cameras are everywhere in city areas, and police can tap into your mobile phone and use it as a tracking / listening device.

Sallie anne huckstepp was more than likely killed be Arthur "Neddy" Smith not Rogerson.

He did kill her boyfriend Lanfranchi though.

Duncan McNab (former detective and Rogerson biographer) on John Laws right now discussing the case, will put up a link to the sound file when it becomes available, here is some background on the two high profile detectives involved with some commentary from McNab .. http://www.news.com.au/national/who...der-of-jamie-gao/story-fncynjr2-1226932708237

Love the name by the way, Detective McNab, sounds like something from a comic strip :)

Roger Rogerson arrested over alleged murder of Jamie Gao

Police have arrested disgraced ex-detective Roger Rogerson at his home in Sydney's south-west, over the alleged murder of Sydney student Jamie Gao.

Shortly before 11am, about 10 officers arrived at the premises and went inside.

A short time later, he was escorted from the Padstow Heights home in handcuffs.

Mr Rogerson's solicitor, Paul Kenny, said he was disgusted his client had been arrested in his home after arrangements had been made for the 73-year-old to hand himself in at midday

THIS is ageing, corrupt ex-cop Roger Rogerson, now facing accusations of murder.

The photo was taken at Redcliffe on Sunday night with boxer Mark ``Hammer’’ Dixon and shows Rogerson looking all of his 73-years.

They drank some beers and dined on Redcliffe seafood, before Rogerson stayed at Dixon’s uncle’s house.

Police prepare to question Roger Rogerson over Jamie Gao murder after arresting him at his Sydney home

It is understood Rogerson was due to meet police at 12pm but officers did not wait with several banging on the front door asking Rogeron’s wife Anne to answer. Others raced around the back of the home.

Rogerson’s lawyer Paul Kenny said he was furious at the arrest.
“This conduct by these police is a disgrace. I never seen conduct like this in 42 years. It’s a complete breakdown in all arrangements I had with the police,” he said.

Like a dog = like a criminal. Which he is. Too bad, so sad - no kid gloves for you, Rogerson.

I have hoped for decades that one day the lid would be lifted off the can of slimy, parasitic worms that is endemic, institutionalized police corruption in this country. Every time one of the mongrels gets arrested, I think: here we go! Only to be disappointed when the case is treated like an isolated incident concerning a few bad seeds.

    I cross my fingers, anyway.

I too dislike the glorification of criminals. The only good thing about Read was that he was so mouthy, he brought a lot of Aussies to awareness of what Australia's really like on its underside. He should never have been allowed to go as far as he did, though, as a 'celebrity'.

I wonder if they'd groomed Gao as a courier or distributor. Gotta wonder how he came into contact with these fogeys at all.

I think they decided they could keep the drugs AND the money, and had him marked for death as soon as they had him on his own and were sure he had the drugs. The glorification of criminals in this country is a joke, shows like Underbelly, the Chopper Reid books, these tours by Rogerson etc .. all feed into young kids thinking a gangsters life is the way to easy money, mind you we're not alone there.

Police will allege Mr Gao was killed in an alleged $3 million ice — methamphetamine — deal gone wrong.

    http://www.news.com.au/national/jam...-across-the-city/story-fncynjr2-1226932430754

My question would be where did Jamie get his hands on this amount of Ice?? None of his friends knew he was into drugs, let alone that amount.

Did he steal it from them to begin with and it was payback for the theft?

    So many questions ....
