My daughter said this lady who saw Karen walking on the day is due in the salon soon. I have asked her to call me when she makes an appointment, might be due for a little coiffure at the same time. Not sure if the salon keeps address details or just emails for their clients. It would be interesting if this lady lived in Peerless.....however from a poor memory I think it was mentioned she lived in the same street.

Let me know if you need any info regarding drains etc. Basil's due for a walk on the weekend !!!

Hi Em, if your good self and Basil do fancy a perambulation this weekend, could Bas perhaps see his way clear to having a wee stop at the top of Peerless where the walkway comes out? I'd love to know what the drains are like as google street view is obscured by 2 cars. [emoji190]

I wonder if Peerless Court was overlooked at the time for cctv checking, maybe they've done it now ..... reckon there'd be plenty of cameras there but not sure how long vision lasts, no idea [emoji848]

Or maybe it wasn't overlooked itsa, and it's only that it's come to our attention (still not reported via media) on this occasion? Surely their initial door knocking/cctv hunt would have extended beyond Oakley Dve?

If evidence has been found on Peerless late (e.g. last couple of weeks) this would explain a more specific and isolated search....but again, the fact that police have purposely not released this two week search to media is interesting to me....is it merely less significant (not about hard evidence e.g. finding 'items') or is it that they don't want to give this part of their investigation up (and if so, I feel wrong writing this post)!

But the stormwater drains from Avondale Heights do apparently drain off into the Mariybrnong River...

If he is fake and using this as a stepping stone to riches..... then morally he will have to live with his demons. ...

Granted I didn't give the podcast my 100% attention once I realised the calibre of it, but it didn't even make much logical sense.

He says something about an old Mercedes dealer. "Anthony was telling me that uh, his father went to a Mercedes, an old mechanic or mercedes benz dealer in Keilor East on the corner of Keilor East and Keilor Road, on Milleara road and Keilor road sorry, and then they told him to go to Slater parade".

Milleara and Keilor road don't intersect, as Keilor road becomes Woorite. I would say few people would be confused about Woorite being Keilor Rd, because in my local experience, people express surprise that Keilor Rd goes all the way up to PEGS.

I checked google maps, and the corner of Woorite and Milleara appears to be houses and have been for a long time, which was what I though when I heard this ... there was an old servo not far up Milleara Rd but I am not sure if it was a mechanic, and didn't look like a dealership at all. Can anyone local confirm this memory?

I was wondering if maybe he meant Keilor Rd because there were a lot of car dealerships up there, but you wouldn't confuse North Essendon with Keilor East and it is nowhere near Milleara.

So anyway ... I know this isn't a big detail but it says to me this guy or AR are prepared to ramble with details with no basis in reality. Maybe the bones of the story are correct but why make this other stuff up?

So, not anywhere near Milleara & Buckley, where police were handing out flyers in their initial efforts to find Karen.
I wonder if there is anything significant around Milleara & Buckley.

ETA: Oh I see now, that is where a big shopping centre is. So police were likely going for maximum coverage.

It's impossible (IMO) for media not to have picked up on it, given it appears they followed the re-enactement (and were possibly invited to do so)......police seem to be exercising power in what/when snippets are released, and peerless was specifically chosen not to be......why don't they want to publicly release that location in comparison to other search areas?

Good point, richie. We are so focused on Karen that we sometimes forget that there may be other totally unrelated things going on in that neighbourhood.

Yes, hee, could be unrelated, but it is curious that KRs car finished up in Peerless when LE were driving it around recently... looking forward to update from Mella. Imagine how many faces would have been pressed up against windows, dog walkers, rakers, etc, if us sleuthers lived in the street [emoji3] ...... be like a Where's Wally scene [emoji848]

Good point, richie. We are so focused on Karen that we sometimes forget that there may be other totally unrelated things going on in that neighbourhood.

Yes, there could be other reasons but such intensive police activity in Peerless, sustained over a period of two weeks and coming so soon after the second reenactment of Karen's final journey ending in the same location, it's reasonable to draw the conclusion that the two events are connected.

Ahh yes, that's the one I recall!! Ok might need to cut him some slack, it is towards the Keilor Rd end even if the roads do not intersect, and it is like a game of telephone, those details can get murky.

That is fascinating that they can do this! A 3D representation.
But approx two weeks at Peerless? That is a very long time for any investigation, and for just a 3D representation, according to the news.com article. They have not spent that long anywhere, that we know of. I just cannot imagine what they were doing for all that time.

Maybe it wasn't two whole weeks, but a few times during a two week period?
I re-read mella's first post (below). It seems it was definitely about Karen's case, according to someone who spoke with police ....

Bit of an update from me.

Very close friends live in Peerless. For those not local to the area back in the days when housing was getting built and empty blocks it was a local hang out to meet up with people in cars, some unsavoury stuff, some naughty stuff etc. It is known to locals only that have been in the area for 15-20 years.

The last two weeks police have been in Peerless, had it blocked off and been rather busy bees!!! There is a laneway that goes to the laneway near the Ristevski house.
The interesting thing about that court is that neighbours cannot see from their houses into the court as the houses face front on to get views of the city with longish driveways and they've been built in weird ways. Friend spoke to police, don't think they're far off now but rumour has it perhaps KR was taken or went up that walkway up to Peerless and was either put on the car or got into the car.

I am also a bit interested that the re-enactment ended back at Peerless. Which could mean that Karen was not taken from Peerless, but was taken from the house and then Borce stopped at Peerless on the way back ... to leave evidence? to visit someone? to gather his wits before he went home? to pick up an Uber ride?

As richie said, the police time may have been spent messing around with CCTV angles ... for proof in court perhaps, that it was Borce in the car? Could they definitely have him in the car there? While other CCTV is more obscure?

So puzzled about this.
