    "Police are concerned for the welfare of a six-year-old boy who was wearing his school uniform when he vanished six hours ago.

    Koby Phoenix Chandler, 6, was last seen walking along Joan Street, Southport, on the Gold Coast, in his Southport State School uniform at around 4pm on Thursday.

    Police are concerned the young boy may be at significant risk given his age and the number of hours he has been missing for.

    The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a six year old boy last seen in Joan Street, Southport around 4pm who may be at significant risk.

    Koby Phoenix Chandler is described as 120-125cm tall, with blonde shaved hair and last seen in Joan Street wearing a Southport State School uniform.

    Ring 131 564 to provide information about this incident.

    Please ring 000 for life threatening information about this incident.

    IMPORTANT – Police request this message be broadcast every 15 minutes.

    Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

    Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation working in partnership with the Queensland Police Service.

    Thanks everyone for posting the additional information & photos I was on my iPad earlier & couldn't put a photo up. I'm very sorry that Koby is still missing. I will keep checking frequently for any developments. Any updates are much appreciated.

    So this little guy wasn't with anybody? Adult supervision? Was it his school he disappeared from? I'm so sick of kids coming up missing :( Where are you Koby?????

    So no mention of a non-custodial parent, and no history of wandering. This sounds pretty scary, I really hope I'm wrong.

    From what I've read there is not a whole lot of info. Not familiar with Amber Alert guidelines in Australia. Here in the States for an Amber Alert to be issued usually there has to be a vehicle description, license plate number, or known person that child is with. I know the privacy laws are different there. Hopefully it is known by police who the child is with.

    I don't understand how a baby can run away. He's 6. His mind changes with the minutes. Someone has to have him. Or he must be hiding in plain sight. It's so scary for this boy to be on his own&#128546;
