Friends, relatives say murdered Coomera man Mark ‘Zeb’ Spencer lived life to the fullest

    October 02, 2014

THE heartbroken parents of Mark “Zeb” Emanuel Spencer will travel to the Gold Coast today after their son’s body was discovered yesterday.

Mr Spencer’s housemate found the father-of-two dead on the back porch of their rural Coomera property in the early hours of the morning after he was apparently bashed to death.

Police were called to a Foxwell Road address about 4am and found Mr Spencer unconscious, not breathing and with serious head injuries.

Attempts to revive the 37-year-old were unsuccessful and detectives and forensic officers quickly secured the scene with homicide investigators also on site

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area or saw vehicles acting suspiciously between 12am and 4am on Wednesday October 1.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000

Yesterday one of Mr Spencer’s best friends brought with her a miniature motorcycle which had been welded into a letterbox.

Mourners were asked to fill it with letters about Mr Spencer which will one day be passed on to his two children.

Mr Spencer’s ashes will be returned to Nowra, New South Wales and a second service held there at a later date.
