I looked up the names they are not ones that are not names that commonly mentioned now probably because of higher profile missing persons cases in Western Australia in 1980s and 1990s. I found this article from the Mandurah Mail 12 months before and noticed with sadness.

"While Ms Eaton was still trying to come to terms with Raelene’s disappearance, she lost her son to an accident, losing both her children in a span of 20 days."

Raelene Eaton’s mother speaks about a lifetime without answers

How tragic. I hope Mrs Eaton does get her answers. It’s lovely of the community to hold a memorial for the missing each year.

Hi everyone - just popping in here. I know first hand, that family and friends quite often describe their loved ones who have passed in 'a positive light' because they don't want to say anything bad about the deceased. So I think some of what has been reported may not be entirely correct. For example I had a friend who became an alcoholic junkie, had all her children taken from her shortly after birth and lived on the streets of Perth under some card board with her male friend. When she was murdered by him her family statements said she was a kind , caring upstanding person and mother. I am still in shock!
Not at all saying anything untoward against JC, just that she was a young person that loved life.

He died of cancer in 2012. He was a suspect of the killing in 1986 after his ex-wife suggested it was him, and arrested in 2001 from the hand print left, before the conviction in 2003. IMO, his MO was related to prostitutes.

"He also attacked another prostitute in Fremantle in 1984 but she convinced him to let her go."

There was an update: The NCIS has revised SJOBERG as simply "Missing", and have removed the "Lost at Sea".
I suppose that means that he could of either disembarked the ferry before it left, or was mistakenly enrolled as boarding, I suppose.
But at least this gives you height and weight.
